Now I know I'm pretty, but I ain't as pretty as a couple of titties. Damn, Oldman would be great as The Governor. We probably won't see that character for a while though. I wonder who's going to play Hershel?
Great collection you have there. I was perusing some of the production photos, and some of those zombies look fucking amazing. I'm so pumped about this. Plus Andrew Lincoln was an excellent choice for Rick Grimes!
Hey Badger- Not to derail an awesome thread or anything, but when the hell is Ex Machina #50 coming out? I've heard July for the longest time but now I'm hearing November.
I just wait for the trade paperbacks (the last of which seems to be scheduled for November anyway). If I went issue by issue I'd go insane.
**MILD SPOILER ALERT IN POST** They really seemed to have nailed the casting here. The only exception, IMO, being Shane. Possibly because he was, again IMO, a rather forgettable character in the books -- not given the time to develop as much as the others. Other than supplying some motivation for Rick, he really just didn't make an impacting impression upon me over the 64 or so issues I've read.
I agree with that. Shane is just a foil for Rick and Lori. **************SPOILER*************** Especially since the one lasting "Shane" issue, that Rick will have to raise his and Lori's kid, becomes a non-issue almost immediately after the kid is born.
*****SPOILAGE***** I completely agree. My knee-jerk reaction to the rapid closing of the final "Shane issue" was that of frustration -- it almost felt like an abandoned story line that would have produced some strong drama down the line -- but it strongly reinforced the dangers the survivors are surrounded by, and Rick's mantra that you are never safe. Also, in retrospect, it shows the strength of Kirkman as a writer -- he takes real risks with his cast of characters.
Animated version of the first Walking dead comics. This is sweet! I hope they do more of these. http://www.amctv.com/originals/The-...27333001&bclid=88963904001&bctid=167654562001
I can't view it from the UK.I know Marvel have started doing motion comics which you generally have to pay for but they have put the Joss Whedon's first issue of his excellent run on Astonishing X-men up.
Here's a bootleg trailer that someone filmed at Comic-Con: As expected, it looks incredible.
Here is the HD version of the trailer It comes out on Halloween on AMC...This could be the best tv show of the fall I just hope it lasts, because funding it will be a bitch. As long as the heavyweights are involved...The Terminator/Aliens producers and Frank Darabont. This could be amazing
