I'm in. Been playing Blizzard RTS games since Warcraft I so I have to get this. Taking a sick day next Tuesday for sure. I'm surprised Blizzard didn't do a stress test for this(or did they?) I didn't see any open beta news. I hope their servers can handle the 27th. Would really suck if opening day gets ruined, like it did for WoW launch.
This is the only game I've ever pre-ordered and will likely be the only game I ever do. By far the most excited I've ever been for a game.
I got bored with it in the beta. I'll pick it up in a few months for the single player, but I'm content with MLB The Show, Red Dead until Madden
Yeah I feel that man, too many good games coming out or are already released, but I still plan on getting it -RDR -NCAA Football -Madden -Fallout: NV -Starcraft 2 Phew busy year coming up for gamers I knew some people that did some beta testing, vastly different from the previous SC, more of pretty much everything
I'm getting a new computer in the near future, the game will be one of my first investments. Im a little pissed though because I havent played Brood War, I remember I saw the original and Brood War for like 20 bucks, but when I went to best buy it was 40. Still Im getting the new one
It was pre-orders + BlizzCon attendees + friends of Blizzard + random invitations from the signup. It's still a very small field of people compared to the chaos that will result on the 27th. I don't think it's possible to simulate server thresholds internally for an opening event as big as this one because it's so chaotic. And the only thing close is an "open" beta stress test weeks/days before launch. Hell, WoW launch did the open beta a week before launch and even then, it was unplayable for the first week or so because they understimated the amount of people who would be slamming their servers. Oh well, I'm hoping for a smooth launch and if worse comes to worst, at least we'll have the single player campaign which looks amazing.
Starcraft was one of my favorite games back in the day. I'm going to try and pick this up but I don't think my computer can handle it.
Just picked up my copy and am playing now. Giggling like a school girl, I've waited over a decade for this.
I wish i was good with the first game...I dont even think my computer can handle this. Although this game just looks badass
Picked mine up last nigt, Got the CE w/all the xtra shit...They gave me a poster and the giant cardboard standup from the store for being 1st inline... lmao...I feel like such a little bitch. :smile:
I'm not tooo excited for this, I got it because everyone else got it... I will be way more excited for Diablo 3
