Which playoff teams from the 09-10 season do you have missing out this up-coming season and who do you have taking their spot?

    2009-2010 Playoff Teams

    AFC

    1. Colts
    2. Chargers
    3. Bengals
    4. Jets
    5. Ravens
    6. Pats

    NFC

    1. Saints
    2. Vikings
    3. Cowboys
    4. Eagles
    5. Packers
    6. Cardinals

The AFC is hard to pick, not really sure how much that is going to change. The NFC on the other hand looks like it will change a lot more. I think Arizona will miss out and maybe the Eagles slip without McNabb?

    What do you guys think?

Bengals and Patriots miss from the AFC, replaced by Dolphins and Steelers.

Cardinals miss from NFC, replaced by 49ers.

This is a huge test for the Jets. We haven't been to the Playoffs consecutively and this would be a good year to start that trend. If you were to look at all the teams in the AFC, it's obvious that the Jets and Bengals are probably on the chopping block. Some think we made it in on a fluke. While the Bengals lost a few games down the stretch despite their Division dominance. So, until we do, I say it'll probably be the Jets and the Bengals.

In the NFC, I think the Cardinals will slip, but I wouldn't take them out of the running. The NFC West is a weak Division and the Niners are improved, but the Cardinals are always a tough out when they play each other during the season. It'll be close, but I think the Cardinals will barely win out the Division. In the NFC, I think the Eagles will struggle a bit this season with Kolb as their starting QB and with McNabb in Washington, suddenly the Redskins aren't an easy win for anybody in the Division.

    AFC

My first 2009 AFC Playoff team that won't be back in 2010 is Cincinnati.

I have a really good feeling that Baltimore will win the AFC North, so the Bengals will have to earn a Wild Card spot. I really don't see them doing that. I think the Houston Texans will earn an AFC Wild Card spot along with the runner-up in the AFC East.

To me, the AFC West is a huge question mark. San Diego has had it easy in that conference for a while now. I think the Raiders will contend for that division's crown. By bringing in a very good game managing quarterback in Jason Campbell, Oakland became a big time sleeper. Their defense has the potential to be very good, especially if the offense takes good care of the football.

I can see the Chargers losing the AFC West to the Oakland Raiders. I'm not sure San Diego will have a strong enough record to qualify for a Wild Card spot.

With that said, my second 2009 AFC Playoff team that won't be back in 2010 is San Diego.

    NFC

My first and only 2009 NFC playoff team that won't be back in 2010 is Arizona.

San Francisco is a sleeping giant that should wake up this season and take back the NFC West.

The Cardinals have questions all over the place, but quarterback is the most obvious. Matt Leinart and/or Derek Anderson have some nice weapons to work with, but this team should take a big step back now that Kurt Warner's gone.

I think all of the remaining 2009 NFC playoff teams will return to the playoffs. It'll be a close race between the Eagles and the Redskins, but I think Philadelphia will squeak by with the better record and steal a NFC Wild Card spot.

    WRAP-UP

    AFC:

Out - Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers

In - Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans

    NFC:

    Out - Arizona Cardinals

    In - San Francisco 49ers

I don't get why everyone underestimates the Bengals.

They have a lot of young talented players. They should only continue to get better of the next couple years.

Last year they swept Baltimore and Pittsburgh. While Baltimore may win the division, it is not a lock and the Bengals could very well end up with a wild card spot.

Pittsburgh on the other hand lost its QB for the first six games and its best WR forever. Not only that but Farrior and others aren't getting any younger.

Pats and Bengals Replaced by Texans and Titans. Team to watch will be the Raiders. In the NFC the Eagles and Cardinals will be replaced by the 49ers and Falcons or Giants.

No offense but I can easily retort that there's two more words: Tom Cable

What's he done wrong as a coach besides *breaking Randy Hanson's jaw for running his mouth?

Without him as a head coach, the Raiders would probably still have JaMarcus Russell as a starting quarterback. Remember, Cable's the guy that made the decision to start Bruce Gradkowski over Russell.

Al Davis is the reason that team is a fucking mess. Not Tom Cable. I don't think he's the solution in Oakland, but he certainly wasn't the problem.

Mike Zimmer is very good coordinator - I'm glad that he had success last season after the loss of his wife. He needed that.

The Bengals have two very good cornerbacks. Hall and Joseph are arguably the best cornerback tandem in the league. However, their safeties are garbage.

I don't think they're good enough, especially on the offensive line, to win into the double digits. I think they'll finish 9-7 or 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

He's 9-19 as an NFL head coach (and 11-35 in college is ugly too.) Combine that with the Randy Hanson mess, and the better question is "what has he done to deserve his job?"

    Patriots
    Bengals
    Eagles
    Cardinals
    Vikings

I see the Steelers winning their division. The Texans and Dolphins taking the 2 wild card Spots. Eagles obviously not ready to return yet. Cardinals duhhhhh. And Vikings won't make it as a bold prediction.

I think the pats have a very mediocre season this year....no real upgrades, decent draft but i don't think those guys will be studs from day 1.
and i don't see the bengals doing it again.

Steelers are a big question mark because of big ben missing the first 4 games. If they start off bad, they could be screwed.

I could see the Texans sneaking in there for sure. It wouldn't shock me if the dolphins got the 6th seed, but i wouldn't bet the farm on it. I think the titans make their return back to the playoffs next season more likely

    NFC?

Eagles without mcnabb probably fall out, arizona will too...probably replaced by san fran winning that division.

The skins or giants take that last spot. Depends how they play in division games

Roethlisberger out for 6 games + no Holmes + no Colon (rofl) I think they're in pretty bad shape on offense.

Yeah, I don't see the Steelers returning to the playoffs, though part of me would love to see them go 6-0 without Big Ben, so they can finally unload that prick.
