DL as a whole will be an issue. Olny Devito is under 30 of the current rotation. Unless a couple of our fringe vets or the UDFA's step up this should be priority #1 heading into the 2011 draft.
Pouha has not imo stepped it up enough to show he's the answer as Jenkins's replacement. He might this year. We shall see.
Jets will sign another player to replace Jenks when he decides to call it quits (after this season?) That player will likely serve as a 1 year stop gap and groom the player the Jets draft in 2011 to be the NT of the future...
Don't know if this was brought up but it shows Kris's affinity towards Rex, and is also one of my favorite quotes about Rex. "It's hard to kind of put it into words, but we have come to the conclusion we need to call the NFLPA and have him put on the banned substances list," defensive tackle Kris Jenkins joked, "because whatever he said was performance-enhancing." (on Rex Ryan of course)
I remember Jenkins saying he could play 5 more seasons or something like that a few months ago. I'll look for the video interview.
He said that to Rich Eisen on Jets Cam for NFLTA about a month or so ago. I'm sure he was posturing, though. A guy his size can't seriously believe that with his knee and back problems.
