    I can't believe more fans don't share MarcoV's concern.

Seeing Shayne Graham and Nate Kaeding ruin Cincy and San Diego's respective chances of beating us was a solid reminder of how important the kicking game is. Especially in the postseason.

I can't believe the past three months were all a dream and this is still a pertinent discussion.

Didn't even go to class, Bueller.

How about seeing how Jay Feely couldn't make a kick against Indy?

Folk has shown that he can be pretty clutch. I remember watching that game where he kicked two straight 50 yarders to beat the Bills on MNF. Players at other positions are allowed bad years, why aren't kickers?

I can't believe some people ignore the fact that he was lights out before his injury.

I'd like to think that at least jets fans would understand the importance of kicking.

Jets fans usually don't. They could really care less about kickers. Personally, I think kickers are pretty damn important.

    Thanks for trolling:up:

This fucking topic had been talked to death already. Around the time that, you know, we signed him.

As for kicking being important, maybe that's the reason the Jets got rid of the guy who whiffed on two important ones in the AFCChampionship.

If Folk doesnt pan out for fieldgoals I doubt Rex will have a problem going for it on 4th down everytime.

And with the talent we got on offense hell that might even pan out for the best.

At this point I have faith in the Jets and the decision to bring in Folk. We all know how big this season is with aging players and younger players needing contracts.

I doubt they'd throw our chances away by signing a kicker who can't get the job done.

We brought in Cromartie, Jason Taylor, and LT.

And you can't believe we signed Folk.

    Uhhh...

To be fair LT is easily a 1st ballot hall of famer, Jason Taylor is probably going to the hall of fame, and Cromartie is considered to be a guy who has the physical tools to be the BEST cornerback in the nfl.

I have absolutely NO problem with the Folk signing and think it could pay off big time, but those other signings were not only upgrades but upgrades by hall of famers or massively talented guys. Cant really argue that Folk over Feely was probably the strangest (at least strangest from a Risk vs Reward perspective) move the jets made this offseason.

    Touche.

At first I thought that your response had to do with Jason Taylors other career.
