Obviously, the Yankees are just trying to one-up the Red Sox and all their injuries.

    RIP George.

Wow, first Bob Sheppard, and now George Steinbrenner. Not a good week for Yankee fans.

Hank and Hal seem to be doing a great job though. I wonder if George has had any real impact on decision that past few years.

Good idea, I'm starting one in the Avatars & Signature board.

Wow very sad news, as much as I hate the Yankees there was no better owner in all of sports. No owner who wanted to win more or was willing to give the farm to win. Wish he owned my team or the Jets. Between his willingness to do what it took to win and his amazing charitable contributions he surely will be missed. RIP George....

"Owning the Yankees," Steinbrenner once said, "is like owning the Mona Lisa."

RIP George - wish you were my owner!

His passion for his team was mirrored only by the most loyal fan!

He spoiled the shit out of us with his spending and aggressiveness and I couldn't be any happier about it. Constantly putting money into the team and not just setting a self-cap on himself.

The Greatest Owner in sports history...Prayers out to the Steinbrenners.

With two Yankee legends dying in two days I think Yogi should take it really easy today!

They should start building his own wing in Cooperstown and be ready to dedicate it when he gets enshrined this summer.

Ugh, right after "The Voice of God" "The Boss" follows him. What a terrible week for the Yankees.

    RIP George.

I couldn't help but like George. Always rooted for him to win the championship that eluded him - the Kentucky Derby.

Plus, he was one of the greatest recurring Seinfeld characters.

Turkey chili in a bowl made out of bread . Bread bowl George . First you eat the chili then you eat the bowl . There's nothing more satisfying than looking down after lunch and seeing nothing but a table
