Also for the home run derby. Two comments from today: 1)If it wasn't bad enough that Charlie Manuel chose Ryan Howard over Joey Votto for the roster, he made Howard his DH and cleanup hitter. He's the manager, but I think it's grossly unfair and against the spirit of what the game is supposed to be about. Howard is more deserving than Adrian Gonzalez and Joey Votto? Hardly. 2)I was watching ESPN today, and the host of a show (some woman) asked John Kruk who his pick was for the home run derby tonight. His pick? Robinson Cano. :breakdance: Someone isn't paying attention to what he's supposed to be covering. It's that or they recorded it three days ago or something, which seems unlikely. For anyone curious, here are the entrants and their respective odds to win the home run derby: 501 Chris Young +1000 502 Corey Hart +500 503 David Ortiz +350 504 Hanley Ramirez +800 505 Matt Holliday +500 506 Miguel Cabrera +220 507 Nick Swisher +650 508 Vernon Wells +650 Cabrera is the top favorite, followed by Ortiz.
no bets unless someone is willing to pester the mods there haven't been any events posted since over a month ago.
One bet wiped out my account and the problem is there are hardly ever any events to build back up my fake bank account.

hart: 13 first round, 0 second round the long break for him really hurt. Hanley Ramirez and David Ortiz in the final
Ortiz with 11 in the final, which is more than you usually see. Hanley coming up with a tall order to fill.
tied Abreu's mark from 2005. 2005 and 2010 the only two times someone has gotten double digits in the finals. Some websites seem to think Ortiz only hit 10. I guess they shut it off before it was over. http://www.chicoer.com/news/national/ci_15501221 That one at least fixed it.
I still can't believe Mat Latos is not on the all star team. 2.45 ERA, .97 WHip, .193 BAA, 10-4 record, 99 K's, in 106 innings pitched. This guy is the shit, all this and he's only 22.
