True...and I'm with you on it being old too, but I think the flip side of this is that their careers are short. I think the average NFL career is like 5 years. I know a lot of the guys being referred to in this case play longer than that, but even those guys have about a 2 year peak performance band. They have to make their money when they can.
Revis has already made more in his career than I will in my entire lifetime. How he handles his finances is up to him, but if he retired tomorrow, he should never need to work again and still live comfortably. The "my career is short" argument is tired too. I wish my career were that short and that profitable. But this isn't really the focus of this thread. I'm happy to discuss the subject, but there are more appropriate threads for it.
Manish Mehta ManishMehta1 The #Jets aren't scheduled to wear their Titans throwback jerseys this year, according to @nyjets . Good.
lol Dustin Keller.RT @Stava_ndj: @HermEdwardsESPN coach herm, which WR will put up biggest numbers for Jets this season? about 1 hour ago via TweetDeck
OfficialBraylon-Braylon Edwards He gets it. I want him to be a Jet for awhile, and I know he is going to play like a sick fuck this year.
^ I honestly think that Braylon is going to give us absolutely everything he has this year. He wants the long term deal in NY, personally i want him here as well. Also I think it is going to be easier to keep both Braylon/ Santonio than most people think. We are not a throwing team, and as a result their stats are certainly not going to be the type of stats that demand high money deals, especially considering we have almost too many options in the passing game. so i think they could both be kept at a bit cheaper than they would in any other situation in the NFL. I don't mean that instead of getting 8 million, we will get to retain them for 3 mill per. But I do think we could probably get both for 5.5 a year... which is damn good work to keep the offense together, assuming it works out this year and all...
in that case one of them will walk because they can get a bigger payday and be a featured WR somewhere else. It'll be very hard to keep both.
http://twitter.com/GeigerGeiger John Geiger Darrelle's BFF/leach/"manager" is not happy with Bricks deal. Who the hell is he to question another players deal? Brick seemed happy with it in his interview.
Brick has the most guaranteed money for a LT and is getting paid 10 mil a year on average. Geiger is just being an asshole.
Can someone twitter Turtle to stop being a dingleberry on Revis's ass crack and stick to commenting on something he knows about like getting semen stains out of his own t-shirts and collecting food stamps.
Darrelle Revis Revis24 Breaking new!!!!! I'm am signing with the Miami Heat to play along side @king_james d wade and bosh. 3 years 62 mill ...
Geiger is a total asshole who does nothing but suck Revis's dick all day long, runs his mouth on twitter and knows NOTHING about management. Bottom line is that Revis and Geiger together are a nightmare. If you guys thought Kerry was too "Hollywood" you haven't seen nothing yet. Word out in LA is that Revis and Geiger have been trying to get acting roles and a record deal. LMAO!
