    Make it happen.

The other rumor was that Vazquez would be going to Philly for Jayson Werth. That would be sick sick sick.

hahahahahahahahahaha. start spreading the news baby.

The deal I am less prone to doing is the Javy for Werth deal. Gardy's been fine. Leave him in the lineup and if it werent for an awful april, Javys stats would be sick.

I know man. I saw that this morning and I was like "Are you KIDDING ME?!?" It's like Christmas in July.

The only problem is, Olney just reported that other teams are suddenly making a stronger push to get Lee now that the Yankees seem to be the frontrunners for a deal.

I want Lee so badly it hurts. CC, Lee, Pettitte, Hughes, Burnett.

Our rotation's weakest starter would be AJ Burnett. Just think about that.

Then Werth for Javy? Oh my. Oh my, my, my.

Werth would spell the end of Marcus Thames. Not Brett Gardner.

Plus, it would allow us to get Granderson out of the lineup more often.

I'm pretty sure the move would put Colin Curtis back in AAA, and move Swisher to a permanent DH role. Werth is a better RFer than Swisher.

getting werth and moving swish to the dh spot would also be an admonition of what everybody knew the day the contract was signed.

    nick johnson was a mistake.

Alio correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you complaining last season when the Yanks signed Teixiera and were asking when enough is enough?

We're talking we just signed Nick Johnson, traded for Granderson and Vasquez. Now talking Cliff Lee, Jayson Werth, and wait for it...Carl Crawford this offseason.

I learned to accept it and Cashman is just playing by the rules so who cares...

Typical Yankees though, we all know they love getting players who do well against them.

I'm sure the World Series put Lee on their radar and the last Series with Seattle reinforced it.

This will be a typical locker room change type trade. We want Lee, we want him now...then Lee just switches locker rooms in Seattle.

The Yankees should've signed LeBron, David Beckham, Kovalchuk and Conan O'Brien too.

PS - Dump Vazquez for prospects please keep Hughes in the rotation.

If you have starting pitching that strong it won't matter until you have to decide on who pitches the playoffs. They can use 4 pitchers in the playoffs to not destroy arms.

Hmm, maybe, but that would suck. I'd rather Swisher was a full-time ballplayer, and I'd rather leave the DH spot open for Posada and the rotation of ARod/Jeter/Teixeria/Cano rest days.

I thought getting Werth was a move to make the outfield depth stronger. Sending Curtis back is fine, but it should set up a rotation where Werth helps spell guys more effectively than Thames.

Not everyone thought Johnson was a mistake. He was, but not everyone thought so.

    Wait. What?

I complained about getting Mark Teixeira? The guy I pined for years for? The same Mark Teixeira that I said repeatedly was the only first baseman in the sport not named Pujols I'd want manning first base in pinstripes? Really?

I vaguely recall talking about developing our farm system to bring players up through the system, so maybe that's what you're referring to. I'd love to see us develop our players to win, but if we can get guys like Lee for someone we don't even know will pan out at his position, it's hard to knock that.

As for the other guys, I never wanted Nick Johnson, and still don't. I hope his "latest setback" makes him the next Carla Pavano and he never sees another day in pinstripes.

I was against the Granderson trade, and while I generally like the guy, I'm still not a fan of the trade.

Vazquez was a good move. Considering Cano's performance sans a less-effective Melky, plus Javy's overall good pitching, it wasn't a bad move at all.

Lee is my biggest target right now. I want him for multiple reasons.

Werth is a great addition, and while Javy has been good, there'd be no room for him with Lee here.

Carl Crawford is the guy who took the mantle of "he's the next guy I want in pinstripes" after we signed Teixeira. I have serious doubts it's going to happen at this point though. Unless Gardner takes over center full-time and we trade Granderson, which isn't out of the realm of possibility. I just doubt it.

    F LeBron.

    We'll take the rest though.

Yeah, they just don't believe in it.

As Kansas City if they truly want to implement a salary cap and stop getting revenue shares from the Yankees.
