I appreciate the comments, Sean....but are you being sincere OR are you sneakin' vicodin from the team medical facility again.
I would have liked to play the Saints at the end of the season last year, when we were hot. It would have been a different story.
I believe I read Payton say the same thing last season. I'd take his word for it over any "expert" on ESPN. Ryan paid his dues in this league, and he's well respected for what he's done. It's nice to hear some other coaches acknowledge this; instead of just bashing his bravado. Is it August yet?! Football can't come fast enough!
They were better than us, we would have had a hard time beating them had we beat Indy. I wish we had the chance though.
Anyone who does not have a grudge against the Jets or is another teams homer is at least on board with this. How could we not be? Sanchez looked like a different QB in the playoffs and our defense has gotten better if for no other reason that the players know that much more. On top of adding a butt-load of DB depth. The NFL should be getting ready for a massive Jet green stained bitch slap!!
If we had made it to the Super Bowl that would've been the one team I wouldn't have felt too bad losing to. The fact that they won was a great story. Class acts all around, and a city that needed something to cheer about. Glad they got their ring. That being said...Get out of our way Sean, the GangGreen decade has begun.
I agree we matched up better against the Saints O but people think b/c we held the Saints O to 10 pts that our D dominated but it didn't. They ran it well against us and we stopped them at the 1 yard line which set up one of NO's TDs. I thought No played poorly offensively(we deserve some credit for that) and I don't think we would have had that happen again. I think they would have beaten us.
Payton added that NFL teams are studying Ryan's top-rated defense this offseason. that one statement says more than anything else.....
He's just playing sycophant to the NY market. It's much harder to sell books to Jets fans if at the same time you're telling them their team is a joke. That said, I couldn't agree more with him.
Good fucking luck. They've been studying Rex Ryan's defenses for ten years. They can study all they want, there's no film to help them prepare for what Dennis Thurman said could be the best secondary he's ever worked with, there's no film on our new blitz packages using Kyle Wilson in the secondary, Jason Taylor rushing, etc. Fuck them we're running this shit.
I'll always take kind words from a class act, and I truly believe that entire organization is a class act, right down to their players. I liked his comment about Sanchez too, considering he reminds of Brees more than any QB in the league.
Yea I think Rex is going to be one step ahead of everyone if his new firepower lives up to the billing. Last year he had a D a lot different than what he ran in Baltimore, and this year will likely be different than last years Jets D.
Yeah, the avatar + the comment make it hard to tell if he's being sarcastic or not. He's been here forever, so its not like he's a troll, or is he? I'm so confused.
