    This is the internet/message board. People insult each other all the time.

    ...growing up in New York usually when people insult each other it's in a 'friendly' manner. I dunno how you are a Jets fan... It's kinda what we do.. throw little zingers are each other here and there.

    do those that have a problem with ghetto being used to describe something negative, have the same issues with using the word gay to describe something negative?

    just curious.

    and... that tattoo does look pretty weak.

    ghetto or not...it's very bad tattoo. He easily could have gotten a tattoo that looked like the actual logo. But I'm assuming it's the same "friend" that did the other side.

    Wow, he's losing it. Is this jtrain's Last Stand? Could this be it?

    The discussion at hand is terrific. "Ghetto" should not be used to describe something in a bad light. WTF?! "Ghetto," of course, is a word invented to label the slums where the Jews were forced to live. It has since evolved into a label for any and all impoverished slums. The very definition of the word portrays something in a bad light.

    Now, if abyzmul had said "that's so Compton," ol' jtrain might have a leg to stand on. Alas...

    The only way jtrain has an argument here is if he is actually a 19th century Jew and he's trying to lay claim to the word. And frankly, I'm more inclined to believe that than to believe jtrain is from the modern poor inner city.
