Reed wouldnt have a major impact vs us anyway.

He makes big plays against the pass. Were a ground and pound team. Reeds old and coming off surgery, the great Ray Lewis is really old, Pryce is really old, they lost Dwan Edwards, and Fabian Washington is coming off IR last season. Not to mention Sanchez is just coming off an injury so it could take him a while to get to the top of his game again, so I dont see the jets being agressive with the pass early in the season especially without Holmes week 1.

This game is going to be Jets Defense vs Ray Rice. Reed is insignificant at least for this matchup. Maybe when we meet them in the playoffs if Sanchez ends up throwing alot more once Holmes is around / Sanchez developes then Reed could be an issue.

If Reed was 100% healthy all Mark has to do is throw the ball once to make an impact. We are a ground team, but Reed is a great player.

Ray Lewis is old, but he plays like hes in his 20's. He will be fresh as hell for the first game too.

We better be able to squash Ray Rice though. Yeah he will be big time in this game.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens FS Ed Reed (hip surgery) is likely to begin the regular season on the PUP list.
Reed admits he's doubtful for Week 1, and placement on reserve/PUP would cost him the first six games. Ken Hamlin and Tom Zbikowski will compete at free safety in training camp. While Reed's early-season absence wouldn't be a death blow to Baltimore's fantasy defense, it won't help. The ballhawk ranks second behind only Darren Sharper on the active career interceptions list.
