Not a good offseason for the Giants thus far.... http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5327381
Looking at that picture, he's lucky to be alive. What the fuck did he hit and why was he going that fast? Damn. I hope that he's ok and wish him the best in his recovery.
Damn, whatever he hit he hit it with the side of the car the driver is on... biggest worry are his legs imo. Giants are unlucky too, they signed like a week ago to a 0.8 mill signing bonus! Bad luck for both the player and the team!
the doctors are trying to save his leg.....this is horrible...i hope he pulls through http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/06/25/source-doctors-trying-to-save-chad-jones-leg/
Wow.... terrible for this guy. Hopefully they can save his leg.... car accidents can be some serious shit.
Goodness, what the hell hit him? I don't think I've seen that much damage on a car short of one being hit be a train.
according to this: http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d818d5838&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true he hit a pole.... and he won't lose his legs - which is obviously great news. i hope that drugs/alcohol wasn't involved, that's not an ideal start to the future he had lined up.
Depends on the damage in the leg... If his leg has nerve damage adios NFL, otherwise he may come back.
He won't come back. Even if he keeps the leg it will probably take year(s) to recover. As a rookie he will be long forgotten by then.
fuck football hes lucky to be alive. plus honestly he probably was driving like a fucking jackass. seriously how do you do that much damage that doesnt involve another car? drinking, texting, floating boats of ice while driving. take your pick.
Jesus I'm really prayin for the kid, wanted him on the Jets during the draft as well. What a story this would be if somehow he could come back and play football sometime in the future. Best of luck Chad Jones!
