    Hahahaha! What?

Thomas Jones scored a lot over the past two seasons, but he certainly doesn't have a nose for the endzone.

The Jets were pretty damn terrible in 2007 and so was Thomas Jones. 1 TD and 3.6 YPC...behind a swiss cheese offensive line.

Tomlinson has double digit scores in every single one of his seasons as a professional running back, while Jones has only done that twice.

I agree with WSW just based on 2008 and 2009. TJ isn't going to do anything without an O-line, he's not a dynamic back. But whenever he was in the red zone, he ran twice as hard over the past couple of seasons.

    actually I wouldn't say that ...

Last year, LT had the second most carries (28) inside an opponent's 5 last year and converted only 9 for TDs.

He also played behind the worst power rushing line in the NFL.

The last 2 seasons he did very well in short yardage/goal line situations. When it was 4th and 1 with the playoff victory on the line, it was TJ, not Greene who got the carry. He may not have ever been a flashy back but he could get the important 1-2 yard gains with ample blocking.

Yeah, he definitely did. In my opinion, the improved offensive line is more responsible for that success.

I think LT can most definitely pick up tough yardage.

I was a little surprised when I found out he weighs 10 pounds more than Thomas Jones.

i will admitt last year i said LT was washed up and now im singing a different tune because i believe he can have a good season behind this line and with greene beating down the defense ahead of him it could turn out to really benefit both LT and the Jets, but if all else fails i will be looking for Joe Mcknight to step in and do what he can...

I think a lot of posters on TGG are going to be upset with Joe McKnight in 2010 - they'll probably be bitching that it was a wasted pick and that Washington is the better player.

McKnight will more than likely have a very small role on this team early on. He's got a ton of talent, but I think he's more a project than most people think.

I think he's got the ability to be a dangerous change-of-pace back in this league and he's got a great mentor in Tomlinson.

That's not the case at all. I've always been a fan of Jordan and being from Texas I've seen L.T. come up since high school so that's the case there. The list of great players that I don't like is WAY too long to list but Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are on it. Respect them but don't care for them. Peterson is on the list too. Puts the ball on the ground too much for my liking.

This writer is clearly just looking to stir a reaction from Jets fans. LT is a nice periphery move for locker room leadership and a few receptions/carries. Anything more is a bonus.

this is what i've been saying, l.t his whole career has been a td machine.

last season was l.t's worst season, and he still scored 12 td's.

He has been, but don't get too excited about his numbers.

Like i said, 9 of those TDs came from inside the 5 where he had the 2nd most attempts in the league next to AP.

He was basically set up to manufacture those TDs

OK, what's your point? He scored the TDs when he was set up which is what he was probably supposed to do. Why wouldn't we do the same and end up with the same results? Real solid argument there...

I'm just sayin that to have that many opportunities to score by punching it in up close, it shouldn't be that big of a shock to put up 12 TDs

I gladly take 9 TDs, let alone 12 if all we use LaDanian for is 3rd downs and on the goal line.

    Chauncey.

I'm not a smart man but do know Leon is now part of Carroll's crew.

LT or Sproles in a short yardage situations. Well, without a doubt, LT. Nice to see we have a choice.
