comparisons usually occur from different times, not simultaneously. there is nothing stupid about that in regards to the comparison. stupid would be comparing a group that has won to a one that has not, but even then you can make the comparison in regards to the potential of the latter group.

I see it as a compliment to the Yankees to call these players the core four, but I doubt The Jets really had the Yankees on there mind when they called those four players the core. Did everybody call Posada, Jeter, Pettite, and Rivera the core four after there first win, or second? Dont remember, but they became the core four imo. Thats what these four guys on the Jets could be but back to Mike. The Jets fans are going insane hahaha should be a great show.

By the end of the '09 season he was praising Revis. It would be difficult to do otherwise, even if you were just trying to annoy Jets fans. Even Francesa couldn't knock Revis by the end of the year.
Francesa is always anti-Jet. If Revis were on any other team Mike would have been in his corner a long time ago. Only now that he's at odds with the team is Mike saying anythng positive about him.

Yeah at the beginning of the 2009 season he said Revis isnt as good as everybody thinks. It is the scheme that is what he is.
I remember Mike arguing with Jets fans before last season over Revis. Mike said it was a joke that Revis made the pro bowl. Then last year in week 2 vs the Pats someone called up and said Revis will take out Moss by himself. Mike said, no way, you're crazy if you think one guy can cover Moss. They need to double or triple him. If they let one guy cover Moss he will get burned all day. Even after Revis shut him down he still denied that Revis did it by himself. He was breaking down video on YES and said he got help. Today Mike said no one knew Revis would be this good. HAHA. More like Mike Francesa had no clue about Revis until about week 10 of last year.
