You mean a rival company is trying to eliminate the competition? Blasphemy!! Texas A&M not joining the PAC-10 isn't that big of a deal. PAC-10 gets the big names, expands their market significantly and get's 2 of the biggest name schools in 1 fell swoop.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. That's not a "conspiracy", no shit that the Big Ten and the Pac 10 are doing this to gain a bigger influence in the college football landscape. Why else would they be doing it? Are they doing it in collusion? Maybe, but it's not like the Big Ten has done all that much as of yet. Certainly, nothing they've done has prevented the SEC from improving their conference, it's their own fault that they have decided to stand pat while their competitors are improving.

And it's funny that this statement came from a Gator fan considering it's his school that's too cowardly to consider bringing in FSU and Miami. The Gators are scared of adding competition to the conference, so expect any additions the SEC might make to be weak schools that will be no threat to them. The SEC could add Miami, FSU, VTech, and Clemson/GT and automatically return to the top of the power rankings, but they won't. Say hello to Tulsa, Virginia, TAMU, and East Carolina.

Now reports are that Texas is considering staying in the Big 12(10) if the financial conciderations are comparable to what the Pac 10 is offering. Foolish.

Texas and Ou and company are staying in the Big 12(10). Good for them, money wise. Altho in the end, it paints the Texas Dean in a bad light, since he said all along it wasn't about money from tv, but that the schools would be getting significantly more in grants and whatnot.

How the 9 other schools in the Big 12 could sit back and allow Texas to form thier own network is beyond stupid. Texas already is the most profitable school in the nation and they're just gonna clean up. No wonder why A&M stood up to them.

I now wonder if the Big 10 still has plans to add Rutgers or if they'll stop at 12.

Damn... I was really hoping for those big 16 teams divisions... now it'll be the same old shit.

I wonder if the Pac-10 will look to add someone as it's 12th team... maybe someone from the MWC like Utah?

Utah would be a perfect choice. I'd also love to see them go after TCU and one other school.

    You they'd become a 14 team division?

I'd like all the big conferences to eventually have the same number of teams... I think it would be the first step towards a playoff system.
