Agreed. We as Jets fans appreciate just how good Cotch is, and giving Wils this kind of advise is invaluable. What a learning curve!

he'd be a little worse than Cactus for the remainder of his career, instead of being complete shit.

    Yes, I did.

The second half of this statement is almost contradictory. The first sentence seems to imply fans were/are overreacting to Folks practices thus far and have now been silenced from one practice. The rest of the comment suggests what happens in practice doesn't matter.

So we should or should not consider practices to be somewhat indicative of how a player will play on Sundays?

Listen, I would love for Folk to continue showing signs of improvement. Why would I want anything less for my team? But so far, he's sucked. And it's concerning.

defeats the purpose of drafting him. We need three great corners to combat the passing attack of a man by the name of Peyton Manning. If we get rid of Cro we would be in the same position again praying that the nickel corner pans out to be good. We would be set for years because all three (Revis, Cro, Wilson) are all young. That's a core with in itself.

I've never heard any complaints about his work ethic. Hence the name workout warrior.

Plus Cromartie might become a restricted free agent next offseason. No matter what, we will have Revis and Wilson under contract for at least the next three season.

I think the only way Cromartie is back next year is if there's no cap.

It was amazing that K-DUB was still available.

I had Wilson ranked in the teens...a huge steal.

I really wanted McCourty for the Jets going into RD 1 and never thought Wilson would be available.

Baltimore trading out with Denver really helped the Jets. The Ravens probably would have taken Wilson if they didn't trade the pick.

I was mildly surprised that New England took McCourty over Wilson, once the Pats made their pick, I knew Miami wouldn't take a CB and Wilson was a Jet

Having Wilson become an elite CB and knowing the Patriots passed on him for another CB would be the sweetest NFL Draft moment ever.

For those that count on practice, then they can feel good about he is improving. Like..Look, he did good today!

I am an advocate of waiting until you see a player in game situations you cannot judge how the player will respond.

So my basic point is, don't get excited about minicamps and OTAs in spring, whether good or bad. Nothing contradictory about that. I am not counting it either way, that is the point I am trying to make.

Probably not, but I am not an attention whore like a Hornet for example.

I said my peace, read it, don't read it. Who cares.

PS, people only look at your avatar and don't worry about what you have to say. LOL

Fair point, but there are other concerns on defense that will have to be addressed. And there may be only so much money to go around. AKA, Revis, Harris, need a OLB next offseason, need DL help, etc.....If Wilson proves to be ready to step into the starter's role next year, do you spend starter money on Cromartie?

Depends on how bad the FA crop looks at DL and OLB next year I suppose, and how much they are forced to spend. That is why I think Cromartie may only be a one year rental.

they have another draft and free agency period next year. if cromartie produces the way he should in this system he is going to a pretty expensive #2 corner.

Another reason to get that Revis deal done for the long-term.

it won't remain a core if revis gets $16 million a year though, because not only will it hurt our cap but cromartie will demand $9-12 million, especially after he has an awesome year in this defense covering #2 wr
