I will get slated no doubt but if I had to split 16 mil per year between Mangold and Brick rather than keep Revis I would do it in a heartbeat.

I love Revis ( no man love !!) but his seemingly 16 mil demands are a joke. The raiders ruined the market with the contract offer to Aso.

Mangold and Brick are key to our offensive development and in this offense driven league, keeping our potentially top 6 qb alive is key. We have seen too many potentially good qbs ruined by a porous line.

Its tough but if it comes down to either or i would choose the oline every time.

    it is true.

Those who protect Sanchez are more important than anyone. Sanchez is the franchise, not Revis.

But, the defense will take a substantial hit without him around.

I agree... I mean CBs are very important in our scheme but I just thing not even Revis can have a bigger impact on the game than Mangold + D. Harris.

Impact-wise it's better to spend 16 mill or those two guys rather than on Revis.

I think Revis, Mangold, Brick, in that order.

Yes the Raiders ruined the market, but well, it is what it is. Its safe to say that Revis wants more than NNandi, and it would be hard to really fault him for that.

The ability to take out the other teams #1 offensive WR is so important, especially with Rex's ability to send pressure, that Revis being 1st is a no brainer.

Revis isn't going anywhere......everyone needs to relax and have a pepsi.

I agree, Revis is immense. But its clear tanny is juggling some major cap worries as we approach a possible lock out and a new cap level.

To me you have to keep your qb upright and healthy to win...see Richard Todd for an example!

MB I agree, not panicking at all. Just throwing an either or scenario which will come around be it harris / brick / mangold . Someone will miss out

As much as I say Revis deserves to be paid 16mil, obviously Mangold and Ferguson need to be retained and signed to long term contracts.

The question is... who has more impact, Revis or Mangold + D. Harris?

Sure, Revis is more important than Mangold and he is more important than D. Harris... but if I had to choose between Revis and those two I'd choose the 2.

Either way Revis is still under contract.

Still, how many times do we hear about the Jets FO "lying" to players about contracts?

    i understand your point.

But the core of this team will stay intact....that's Tanny's job to figure out....and lucky for us...he's one of the best in the league in doing that.

Until something of note happens...I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the summer. Mike Tannenbaum has my full trust...and I know he'll do whatever it takes to keep the core players on this team....and that includes Revis, Mangold AND Brick.

I bought a Mangold jersey three years ago because at that time he was the best player on our team.

    He will def go nowhere.

Revis is the most important player on the team not named Sanchez and it isn't even close. There is not even the slimmest of possibilities that Rex Ryan lets Revis go anywhere, he will get his payday and will deserve whatever he gets. He is integral to the scheme we run.

Yes. Two starters are more important than one starter. Congratulations.

If Revis cares about winning a ring too he has to give a discount.

Look where the Raiders are, they can't do a whole lot with contracts like that being tosses around.

I love Revis, I alos love Rex.

Rex turned this defense into the #1 defense with many of the same players Mangini had, lost some and gained some.

Revis was good under Mangini and he is great under Rex. Obviously you don't find a talent like Revis everyday but locking up so much money into a CB is a little tough to swallow.

We could get 3 good cornerbacks for that money.
