'Hard Knocks' effect : Will Jets be distracted ? June 1, 2010 - by Eric Edholm I was scanning through the latest edition of Pro Football Weekly, as I do every time after it comes out, and I happened upon an interesting quote in our "Audibles" section. If you are not familiar with it, we run anonymous quotes — which often makes them quite juicy — from NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel about things happening in the league. Here's the full quote that caught my attention (my underlining for emphasis): "We've seen how hard it is to win back-to-back Super Bowls, but I'll tell you, I like what the Saints have been doing. If you asked me today, I would say they are still the team to beat in the NFC. When you look at what they have done with their roster, I think they have gotten better. In the AFC, I really like what the Jets have done. (The New York area) was given the Super Bowl bid. They have a chance to get there. I don't like the distraction that HBO ('Hard Knocks') brings. Have any teams who have let (the cameras) into their camp ever gone on to win? I wouldn't want to deal with it. They have gotten older, too. But there is a lot of talent on that roster now. They have the pieces to push the Patriots aside." As some of you know, I have gone a bit against the tide on the Jets this offseason. Something just gives me a bad feeling. On the one hand, I love their coach and I love their roster for the most part, but a great collection of talent does not equate to wins. We saw that no more clearly than with the Cowboys in 2008.And that brings us back to "Hard Knocks." Again, I am completely torn on the Jets in regard to the show this year. Part of me knows it will be epic television. But the other wonders how a team that is starting to mount a very high horse is going to handle another ego boost from the show. This article is correct, not only are we going to be distracted by Hard Knocks but we will lack team chemistry. With the pluethra of players we added this year there is no way Rex could have them mesh so well.
Someone should tell Kinky Kelly that maybe it's not such a great idea to post articles debating team chemistry when there's been numbers of articles coming out in recent DAYS about how great our team chemistry has been. It's almost as if Kelly isn't really paying any attention at all to the team and just posting anything and everything on this message board because that has the word "Jets" in the title of an article.
I know. But in those instances, it was when people would post the full article and not include a link. Kelly on the other hand, almost always never posts the article and just provides a link. On those weird occasions when she does actually paste the article, she only puts up a few sentences or a paragraph or two. I wouldn't be surprised if Kelly is some jackass 3rd-party web space ad traffic generator...holy shit. I just realized, Kelly could be that wine retard from the ESPN draft a few years back. He's always looking for ways to make some quick cash and creating a 3rd party traffic generator business would certainly be right up his alley.

I think Kelly was told by one of the mods to post some of the article and then provide the link. If this is true, then Kelly is following instructions from the mod. As far as posting the entire article, I believe it might be a copyright issue even if a link to the article is provided by the poster. Regardless rmagedon, you seem to have an issue with Kelly and/or Kelly's posts. Why not just add Kelly to your Ignore list?
