Joyce is at least a good ump, but he fucked Galarraga big time.

 

CAN THE MLB OVERRULE THIS SHIT? I mean, it was GAME OVER. I think they should.

 

Talk about a need for replay in MLB Baseball. Good god only the 21st possible perfect game in MLB History. Ruined by a bad call. A blatantly bad call.

They honestly should give him the god damn perfecto after the fact. What a complete load of shit call.

 

I think Leiter was right - Galarraga caught the ball half out of the glove, and Joyce thought he was juggling it. What's amazing to me is that he made a mistake in that direction - I wouldn't have been surprised by an umpire calling anything close the other way because of the situation.

If nothing else, since the ball clearly beat the runner, it should be an error, and still a no-hitter.

 

They really should do something about this...overrule it, or something. This is ridiculous.

As a Marlins fan, I can't remember Miguel Cabrera ever talking so angrily to an umpire like he did today, he must have been pissed.

Scorers sometimes change calls after the fact, I wonder if they will do that here.

It's not the same getting the perfect game after the fact. It's still great, but I imagine for the player, half the fun is celebrating with your bros on the field.

It can't be a perfect game. They can change the ruling and make it an error, which would make it a no hitter.
