Not complaining but as I was up there (and I will be for the upcoming season) I was thinking how hard it might be even reading the number on the back of the players jerseys come football season. The view is far away. And I have pretty good eyesight.
Football players are just slightly bigger than Bon Jovi and it looks like the lighting has more to do w/ not being able to see them on stage in that pic as fans on the floor are clearly visible. That's what we have heard about soccer for decades too:smile: I was a teeneager in the upper deck of the old Stadium for a Guns 'N roses concert and I couldn't see anything either.
I don't like heights as it is, and if the upper deck actually moves....no thanks. Something doesn't seem right about that.
Has no one here felt the UD move in the past? I know I have many times at rocking Jets games... Mostly at Grateful Dead concerts though, lol.
giants stadium was always moving like a teeter totter for me. but that was from the tailgate parties.... but actually i never felt the uppers of giants stadium move. i have felt shea move a couple of times.
Never felt the old uppers move period. And I was there for numerous occasions: football, concerts, etc. The new upper level really moved enough for several posters to mention it.
no bull i'm with you man, i feel that thing moving and i am out of there! i been to many games at the old place never noticed movement once and i was at some big games...
when my buddy was selecting his tickets the rep told him the 4th row in the upperdeck in the new stadium is where the last row in the upperdeck in the old stadium would be
I felt it rumble a few times last year. The one I felt the most was the Patriots game (awesome game to be at) but that was mainly because my buddy and I got people from a few rows in front and behind us to kick/slap the seats in front of them to make the noise even louder. I highly doubt anybody gets that excited for a Bon Jovi concert. So yeah...if that shit begins to shake/move as much as people are describing it at that height, I might not be able to take it.
Guy I work with was telling me about the stadium, he went to see Jovi too. Said it was the most boring stadium he's ever seen, everything is so gray, though that might change when it opens for the season. Said the seats were almost the same as the old stadium, very unimpressive. Also he noticed not alot of corporate sponsor signs up yet. Said it took 3 hours to get there from LI. Makes me so sad they didn't go with the West Side stadium, LIRR right to the games would have been sick.
as much as i dont want to,i have to admit what is being seen at these concerts and lacrosse games is nothing to what will be seen for that monday against the giants. the whole stadium will be lit up like a xmas tree. and if you think woody wont have that thing banging on the live national audience monday night to open against rex former team...you guys are blinded by our owners greed to his dedication to this team. but again his greed comes first then this team...so it can again fulfill his greed
