I don't think I've ever read something so wrong.

Couple more outbursts like this and I'm going to have to mute Don. Borderline troll, borderline Raiderjoe now.

Don's a Yankee fan. He actually reminds me a lot of my brother, which is probably why I don't get crazy when he says what he does. I'm sure, like my brother, he's a diehard Yankees fan who reads too many newspapers, and just completely despises Brian Cashman.
    -------------

Anyway, at this point I'm questioning why Randy Winn is even still on the team. A converted infielder is rendering him irrelevant. Not that Russo is a superstar, but he's playing pretty good right now. As much as I wanted Gardner in the 2 hole, he's clearly better when he's in the bottom of the lineup.

How about Jeter hitting a home run at Target Field before Mauer? Awesome.

Morneau must feel like crap after crushing a ball that turned into a warning track out, then Nick Swisher obliterates one that went way over in the same spot. If I'm hitting for the Twins, I'm an angry guy right now. Though if you hit it up the line, and you're anyone not named Mark Teixeira, you're getting an easy double. That park is as ridiculous as Citifield.

How about Andy Pettitte? Wow. Strike after strike after strike. Possible All-Star bid? I'm really starting to think he might be my favorite of the "Core 4."

Speaking of the Core 4, Mo needs more work. I don't understand why Girardi doesn't get it. This has been Mo his entire career. The more often he pitches, the more effective he is. I understood not pitching while he was hurt, but if he hasn't pitched in two or three days, I don't care if you're still not in a save situation, let him throw an inning just to get in the work. He is clearly still more effective when he gets more work. It just sucks that he didn't get credit for two saves in a day. Yesterday's early game was counted toward the day before.

The Yankees got some help from that team up north this week. This is one of those rare occasions where I'm not angry at a Sox win. And it looks like Ellsbury may make another trip to the DL. Good, perfect timing.

I still can't believe the Yanks landed Nick Swisher for (basically) Wilson Betemit.

Very good news just now via Buster Olney on Twitter! If everything goes right for Granderson in today's rehab start, he's expected to rejoin the team tomorrow!

Randy Winn's last game in pinstripes is tonight.

Okay, but that still doesn't answer why he isn't given the work. His fastball has less speed and less movement. Okay. He still gets guys out. It's clear that he's more comfortable when he pitches often, and he always says something to that effect when asked.

Like the old joke "Doc, it hurts when I do this" "Well, don't do that" if something works, and has proven itself repeatedly to work, you should probably just keep doing it until it proves it no longer works.

Granderson potentially coming back tomorrow excites me. I think Russo is fine over Winn.

I am excited for Granderson's return! Also, yesterday was great for me. 2 Yankees wins and I have 3 Yankees on my fantasy team: Jeter, Swisher and Rivera. Great day!

I wonder if the Yankees know it's alright to score runs before the ninth inning?

Wait, why did Girardi send Vazquez back out there for the sixth? I don't get it.

Agreed. I think he was at 99 pitches to start the sixth.... Vaz' fastball is still only at 89-90 mph, which is not encouraging. Shitty game today all-around.

Yes I despise Cashman. He did nothing for 10 years. The only good signings made were made by the Steinbrenners and that is by his own admission. He never had the authority to spend that kind of money. His legacy to this team was shown last night, people like Vazquez and Park. He makes trades like Phil Coke and Austin Jackson along with 5 or 6 others to get fuckin Granderson who was batting .225 before disappearing to the DL for a month. That is the GM with the 200 million dollar payroll that all the idiots think has done such a great job.

As far as the other assholes in here, I could care less what they think about my allegiance to the Yankees.
