Caught the end of the game after the hockey game, Sox continue to get solid pitching.

Yah and J.D. Drew needs to fuck off, I yell at the t.v. every time he is up to bat. My wife gets sick of me doing it.

Lester keeps it going. About damn time this team started pitching well.

Why? He's one of the best hitters on the team and is having a nice year.

its the fact that this guy is making one of the highest paychecks on the team and has been terrible since he came to the sox. with that he could be one of the best players in the game if he cared...

2007 was a poor year, but the last 2 years he put up a WAR of 4.0 and 4.8. that made him the 4th best RF in baseball in 2009 and 7th in 2008.
You listen to too many people like WEEI, JD drew is an excellent player, but because he doesn't dive all the time (because he actually has range) and because he doesn't throw a fit every time he gets out people like WEEI and idiots like Bill Plasche rip him.

How someone views J.D Drew is kind of a litmus test for how seriously I take their opinions on players. His occasional power, good eye, good baserunning, and good defense all more than justify the superficial criticisms of his lack of hustle/effort/anger/etc. He gets way too much shit for being unclutch, when in fact the man has delivered big time in crucial post season AB's the last few years.

Anyways, good to see lately that hope for this team isn't completely pointless.

Holy crap , the Beltre Show tonight. He's quietly having a terrific season at the plate so far.

He's having an OK year. His average is high but until tonight his power has been pretty much non-existent and he's been striking out way too much for a guy with no power.

Fair enough, it's pretty much a given that with those K's he gets his avg will come down a fair bit and his homers will go up.

Lackey needs to get his act together.
