    Pat's owner on NY/NJ Superbowl

    http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2010/05/super_bowl_xlvi.html

The Patriots supported the measure, and Jonathan Kraft cast his ballot for the group.

"Ever since 9/11, I’ve hoped that something like this could happen," Robert Kraft told the Globe yesterday. "It’s just reaffirming support for that great city and region, New Jersey and New York. ... I see two major things: Payback to the people of that region in bringing what I think is the greatest sporting event in the world, to host it, and thank them for what’s gone on almost a decade later; And then also a thank you to the owners who stepped up and took one out there with real financial stakes."

Not to really knock New Jersey, but really, where do you think stands to make the most money from the Super Bowl? There's nothing to do in the area of the stadium so everyone in town for the festivities will be hanging out in NYC every night and heading back to NJ to sleep and conduct morning hype week activities.

I follow Chad Ochocinco on Twitter, and last week was the first time he came to NY for something other than a day for a game. He tweeted a few times about how great the city was and all the great things he got to do. That's what you're going to see from these players and media during hype week. It's going to be one big city-wide party. In Manhattan.

been away for a few days so pardon me if this was covered already.......I'm so so on this whole super bowl in the new stadium.....but it reaffirms for me one major point, PSL's are worth shit...in theory anyone who owns a PSL should have an opportunity to get a Super Bowl ticket.....afterall you own the seat right? what a joke. These 2 franchises should give a full accounting of what they rake in from the whole deal, and PSL's charges should be retroactively adjusted down (I know it will never happen)

I understand the reasoning behind it, I mean, NY is "the city" to us around here. But, it seems like everything seems to be diverted into a NYC thing, even two teams that play in NJ. It just plays along those lines.

Anytime a Pats fan whines about getting screwed 2 words come straight to my mind.
    "Tuck Rule". Nuff said.

Just annex the "islands" (manhattan, staten & LI) to NJ and call it New York City, NJ (a la Kansas City, MO) Let NYS keep the Bronx. On second thought, let's sink Staten Island and let Conn. take LI. Manhattan, NJ. I like the sound of that.

As I read on you start to get to the idiots ... yeah that same former Jet employee who allowed tapes of the Pats cheating to be destroyed and handed down a fairly light penalty considering the crime.

I heard jelly bean Florio on the radio last week saying "If NY gets a SB I hope my media seat is in the press box" How about a nice cupcake filled with shut the fuck up? Nobody outside of you give a shit where your media seat is. In case you forgot fatboy the SB isn't about you. Judging by the rag you send out it's a wonder the NFL even gives you a media pass.

It's amazing how much of what gets passed off as sports journalism is really just about the ease with which reporters can do their jobs. A coach gives easy access, he's a good coach; a team gives perks, it's a classy organization; a scrub is willing to talk, he's a team player. The fact that any reporter would even think for a moment that any fan gives a rat's ass about his comfort level at the Super Bowl shows just how out of touch with reality they are.

I love the KSK take on this.

Bob Glauber is abusing everyone who is against it too. Kudos to him.
