Benigno and Roberts immediately after the Jets win over San Diego http://www.wfan.com/topic/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=4322087
Eh, all I can think about is "these poor bastards are going to feel like s*** in one week's time...". Kinda depressing, actually.
Roberts is so Ghey. Honest to god he will be the 40 yearold virgin. All he does is talk about Mets games from the 1990's that nobody cares about and about girls that he will never come within a mile of.
I actually love Beningo and Roberts. Sure they overplay the "drama queen" role of being a jets fan..but they are clearly passionate and they talk jets year round(unlike some hosts). Let me ask you guys this..you don't like anyone on WFAN including beningo, you don't like anyone on 1050 including Kay and Greenburg(who is a life long jets fan)...what radio personality who talks Jets DO you all like?
I remember how I felt after that game, but it didn't even compare to how high I was at 17-6. I was going apeshit. What a crash after Manning came back.
i try not let much of the SOJ mentality into my mind but at 17-6 you had to know the jets weren't gonna make that one easy.
I don't think it was a SOJ thing. We just couldn't stop Manning with our pass rush. It didn't help that we were losing guys in the secondary, either. If there was a way to win that game, Rex would have figured it out because apparently he was throwing everything at him. The only regret I have is how conservative Schotty was (especially after Greene went down) and that was eminent in what Edwards was saying about them "not rolling coverage towards him".
it definitely wasn't a SOJ thing. manning had missed a few big plays early on and i knew it was only a matter of time until he got a few on us. i wasn't comfortable with the 17-6 lead because i had a feeling it was gonna get very interesting, and it did.
People like to be negative. And most talking heads are there to get ratings as much as talk real sports. Most hosts have their ups and downs. I like Joe and Evan because they talk more Jets and Nets than anyone. I don't like Joe because he's over the top about everything.
I think Joe is actually a good representation of the majority of the fan base. 1 loss and the team is horrendous, everyone has to go. 1 win and it's time to talk Super Bowl, lol.
