It's good to know that even retired, The Jets are still in Zach Thomas' head:

-- Linebacker Zach Thomas, who retired as a Dolphin on Friday, on the toll concussions took on him, in an interview with Dan LeBatard of the Miami Herald:

"Actually, I need just two words. Subject-verb. Jets suck.''
-- Thomas, to LeBatard, asked his feelings about the Dolphins' rival in the AFC East.

One word....concussions. Really, the guy has serious health risks in the future and this is what he concentrates on?

Good for him, too bad Jason and Zach rarely beat the Jets in their tenure as Dolphin players

He'll be bitter to the grave

Agreed. The Jets dominated him and the Phins for a number of years. That really has to burn him.

It was always more effective when Jason Taylor was talking smack as a Dolphin and Thomas was the straight man. Now that Taylor is a Jet and Zach is retired, it really has no effect at all.

I was watching the Monday Night Miracle HLs on NFL Network last night, funny how Zach was the quiet member of that Dolphin team, while Taylor would constantly run his fucking mouth, now Taylor joins us, I just find this whole JT situation hilarious, better not bite us in the ass in the end since we gave up Feely for JT, cause I for one do not want to go through a Doug O'Brien fiasco again, I don't know if I could handle that again

Zach was on the team during our 8 in a row winning streak.

Hey we can talk about that for years now since Phin fans love the past so much.

Was also there for our 5 in a row too-

Zach Thomas didn't come to the Jets last offseason when Rex wanted him so I'm guessing Thomas cares a little bit more about the rivalry than Jason Taylor does. I wonder if he's pissed off at Taylor for joining the Jets.

    Oh, by the way.

    Fuck you, Zach.

I hope the Jets give Zach Thomas front row 50-yard-line seats for the Super Bowl as he watches Taylor win the title with us.

my guess is that if taylor had anywhere else to go he would have gone there over here. But it was us or retire, and he wasnt ready to hang them up, so here he is ready to try and win a ring.

Any of you guys think Taylor would "ease up"/not go all out when we play the Phins ?

    EDIT: Screw Zach Thomas

I don't think Taylor wants to go out as the weak link on an excellent defense. He still has an ego and it was hurt by the Phins. If anything, I think he may play harder against the Phins than he does against other teams.

nyjetsrule, I think Taylor could've signed elsewhere but since Miami gave him the shaft he decided to try and give it to them by signing on with Rex and the Jets. The money he got in the 2nd year of the contract (that he'll never see because I highly doubt we keep him beyond 2010 unless he picks up 10+ sacks) also couldn't have hurt either.

AJayJay, I can't see him lightning up and not giving 110%. You'd be released the next day if there was any indication of doing so. I would think he'd want to beat up on Miami more than anyone else now that Parcells has kicked him to the curb TWICE.

Dolphin fans will never be as passionate as Jet fans ever, our passion for the game is as big and fat as J Lo's huge ass, I just feel Dolphin fans were never as passionate, our franchise has been from hell and back many times

No wonder Jet fans are easily one of the most hated fan base in professional sports, we love the game and we don't give a fuck about anyone else

I still remember that game. I threw a Jets party at a local pizza hut out here in California. We watched the game until the 3rd quarter when we all gave up and went home. I got home, turned on the T.V. out of curiosity and holy shit, the Jets started coming back. It was absolutely amazing and thrilling. I regret to this day leaving pizza hut.

As for Zach Thomas, I still respect him as a talented football player.
