Fixed it for you. And lets not worry about offenses adapting to this defense. The Jets are already one step ahead by replacing liabilities in the secondary. Rhodes, Lito, and Coleman are gone (Coleman is still on the team). Enter Crom, Wilson, and Pool. Offenses may improve their protection of the QB on certain looks, but the CBs he's throwing against got exponentially better. That's where the Jets gave themselves an upper hand. Plus, the Jets will use new schemes, such as playing 8 on 8 football. Let R,C, and W line up 1 on 1 with receivers and have the other 8 confuse the shit out of the offense. No team has ever had the ability to do what Rex wants to do.
Pettine was talking about the entire defensive scheme. And I was quoting him. http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/mul...e-pettine-interview-part-3-keys-to-transition
Cromartie does have to prove himself again. So does Wilson. But both have too much talent, both around them and themselves, not to succeed, and they won't even draw the toughest tasks every week. Davis and Smith are two young cornerbacks with nice ability. But the Dolphins were 24th in total defense last year. If you're going to say they'll be very good down the line, sure. But neither has proven much. You could say similar things about Cromartie and Wilson. But Revis is shutdown, and having two talented question marks with him is much better. Hall and Joseph would be the other tandem I would consider, but both are just very good cornerbacks. Still, both have been good for a few years now, so I can't hate that pick.
your avatar is funny. Anywho, the only reason (as has been stated)Were not number one is because of how cro played the last couple seasons, now if we believe that this system is correct one for him then, we`ll prove the analysts wrong. I havent watched much on the guy, but what he says is he shines in man on man, whereas they played zone. kinda like LT err...Bacon Needs reps to get into a groove and all SD did was pass.
majority of the league already had a number 1 receiver. hell teams now have multiple weapons on offense. you guys made improvements, yeah no doubt, but not enough to put you in the tier of teams like the texans, bengals, ravens, falcons, eagles, or packers. those guys have MULTIPLE targets, that can score from anywhere. also this really isnt the season to even mention a tandem at corner. bengals, packers, jets, cowboys, broncos have much better talent.
Vontae picked off Moss and Brady twice last year. And I think he got Braylon Edwards in the endzone too. How many picks did Revis have last year?
I am SOOOOOOO excited to wake up tomorrow and come into this thread and see how much your ass got ripped apart by this board. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to tomorrow.
If you think that the amount of interceptions you have determines how good of a corner you are then I truly feel sorry for you and your lack of any fooball knowledge. And you are a fucking retard. EDIT: In case you were wondering, Revis had more....and how the hell did Davis pick off Randy Moss?
If you're actually going to come on TGG and attempt to talk shit about Darrelle Revis, who's arguably the best defensive player in the league, then you're borderline retarded. Do you actually think Vontae fucking Davis is better than the league's best corner? Give me a break, troll. He "got" Braylon Edwards in the endzone? What does that even mean? Darrelle Revis had six interceptions, while Vontae Davis had four. Revis had 31 PDs and Davis only had 11. Get the fuck off of our message board.
The only thing that stuns me more than Dolphin fans thinking that their players are better than everyone else's is their lack of knowledge about football. Is that what you were talking about, dumbass?
Wow whine and cry some more you bunch of fruits. I asked a question how many picks Revis had? Are you gonna start tearing up if I ask you how many tackles he had last year too? I was just pointing out possible reasons why these guys on NFL network would pick the Dolphins cornerbacks for best CB tandem of the future. Not too many rookies can say they Mossed Moss twice.
I never said Vontae Davis was better the Revis dipshyt. And no, that's not the play. I was sitting 3 rows up from that play last year though and it was an absolutely sick sick catch (which they should have given him the TD for IMO). But that might have just been your boy Edwards best play of the year. In fact you might want to check his gloves for some stick'em after watching this one again. And VD picked edwards in the game the Jets wore the Titans jerseys.
Considering I live in the same city as you do you really need some idea's? Might wanna get out once or twice on the weekend. Wouldn't hurt with that tightness you got going on over there.
I wish I could post pictures. VD had two sick picks against Randy Moss. One was a one hander where he went up over the top of Moss and brought it down. And the other robbed a TD. Yes, Moss got Mossed. Like I said, how many rookies can say they picked off Brady and Moss twice?
You're on the internet just like everyone else posting on this site right now. Once again: Revis had 6 interceptions. He also had 31 PDs. SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.
You're not really this fucking stupid are you? Randy Moss had 8 catches for 213 yards and 2 TDs against the Dolphins this season.
