Southern Miss makes the College Baseball World Series HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Brett Favre says he still isn't sure what he's doing next season, but he may have given some indication after visiting with the Southern Miss baseball team. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback told the Golden Eagles on Thursday morning that if they can make it back to the College World Series for the second straight year, he will return for one more season in the NFL. Favre has left fans hanging since the Vikings lost to New Orleans in the NFC Championship Game. He signed a two-year contract with the Vikings before last season. Coach Brad Childress hasn't talked with Favre recently except by text message. Southern Miss players have a lot of work to do if they want to force Favre into action. They are 30-20 and need wins to earn a postseason invitation. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5205640
That's great Brett, direct more attention to yourself and your little "miss TC" game. In the meantime, let your teamates know that the only way you will come back is if a college team does good in their playoffs.
I find it funny how no one even cares about what he says anymore. Really, he had to stoop this low lol?
Next year he should just make it a game show or a reality show to run through the spring and summer. He could be the Brett Michaels of interception.
they just continue to print this stuff, right there front page espn.com, all over sportscenter. why oh why does anyone care about a 40 year old man who hasnt won anything since he was 26? i really like that minnesota team and think they have a great shot at the bowl. however i am confident favre will screw it up again, as usual. i could definitely see him coming back and blowing it and then minny winning the following year with a journeyman qb who just worries about doing his job and putting his team in a position to win.
"They tried so hard to make the tournament that I just couldn't bear to see the disappointment on their faces and retire."
Chad Pennington? I agree with the rest too, why is this news? It's Brett Favre season again, right after mini-camps.
So the sky is blue, water is wet, pope is catholic, Ricky Martin is gay... anything else we didn't know yet?
