50 yards for a pro kicker under no pressure should be cake. Ive seen kids from my high school boot 60 yarders in street shoes with no game pressure.
Just because some guy lied to you about having cancer doesn't mean everyone is lying about everything. So the kid was athletic, get the fuck over it. It doesn't change the point of my post, that being a pro kicker shouldn't be missing these.
Unfortunately, that's not necessarily true, because a bad kicker (see: Kaeding, Nate) could ruin all the other great accomplishments that the rest of the team had in the blink of an eye. If Folk continues to struggle, hopefully we'll be able to bring in Brown or Rackers for some competition when one gets cut by HOU.
You mean the guy that had a better regular season than Jay Feely? Kaeding was 32 of 35 in the regular season, while Feely was 30 of 36. Kaeding missed three kicks in post-season and Jay Feely missed two. Now tell me this: What's makes Jay Feely so great?
Bad comparison.. Feely had 3 games, Kaeding 1 in the postseason. At the rate he was going Kaeding would've missed 9 in the same amount of time.
That's not a bad comparison at all. Kaeding was better than Feely in the regular season, was he not? Both guys missed crucial kicks in the post-season. All that matters in this league is making kicks in the post-season - neither guy could do it when their team needed them to.
Ya, Kaeding's always been a regular season kicker. But it's not too crucial in the regular season as compared to the postseason. Kaeding was 0/3 if I remember, which would've won his team the game if he had made them. Feely was 3/5. And if Feely had made his kicks we still would've lost our game by a TD.
