Yeah, missing four straight is a little troubling regardless of the time of the year. Hell I know I can make one myself.
Well that part I did not know, which really makes this thread pointless. I can make it from 40, but don't have the leg to go 50.
Yeah, I know. 50 yards is a pretty big kick. It changes things when you realize it wasn't just an easy kick. Even for a strong leg a 50 yarder isn't easy. That's a lot of distance to keep its direction. It was posted on Twitter a couple times when it happened. Also, ftr, the guy Rex was talking about when he said he'd look for another was Stisler (or however you spell it.)
But to miss a 50 yarder under no pressure is really bad. I've seen kickers do it effortlessly during pre-game warmups.
No, its not really bad. It would be better if he makes em. There can be several factors, mainly the wind. We don't know which direction the wind was blowing compared to the kick. Wind can make a 50 yarder seem like 60+ yarder or it can make it seem like a chip shot. It has a lot more affect on longer kicks, than the actual chip shots of 30 odd yards.
Also the fact that it's May and he probably hasn't kicked a ball since his tryout. I'll worry about this in a couple months. Everyone should keep in mind that while there was no pressure to kick today, he was under pressure with the entire coaching staff watching him when he tried out, and he hit enough to fetch himself a contract.
I can see why he would get their names confused when both of them sucked equally hard. Plus, Nick and Clint sorta, kinda, sound the same.
Its Stitser. Cunt Stitser :breakdance: http://www.gobulldogs.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/stitser_clint00.html
Thank you. Here's the actual quote from Ryan: "I think Nick's going to be fine. The other kid's got to make a couple there or we've got to find another kicker. ... I think we'd all feel a lot better if they decided to make 'em."
This guy was bad at Fresno State. I really didn't get this move. I think the Jets will sign a camp leg some time in July.
