Jets K Nick Folk's job is already on the line after missing his first four field goal attempts in Thursday's practice.

"Nick has to make a couple, or else we'll find another kicker," responded Rex Ryan after Folk drew bronx cheers upon drilling his fifth attempt. This may not end well. Folk had confidence issues aplenty last season, and this certainly won't help matters.

I'm sooo pissed we let Feely go. I understand we had to loose him to sign J. Taylor but come on!!!

PS He said Nick missed some and Clint Stitser missed ALL of them... haha, someone is getting cut :p

If Mike T. continues his pattern and stays true to his word I believe we will have the right guy kicking our fg's and pat's when the season start's. He will leave no stone unturned.

I think I might have to show up to Cortland and get an Open try out. 20 years of soccer and a few years screwing around with my buddies with a football might be better than Folk.

I'm not alarmed by the situation... I just think you need a banana instead of a foot to screw 4 consecutive FGs...

That said I'm sure we'll come up with a solution!

I'll worry about the Kicking situation during preseason.....when it matters.

I never get excited over reports of good performances in mini camps or pissed at bad performances but Folk missing easy kicks in practice is alarming since this is a guy that was having trouble kicking PATs and all the misses have become a mental block for him. I HOPE the foolish decision to let Feely go will not come back to haunt us. Hopefully Folk gets over this and starts kicking like he is capable of when it matters during the season.

if he's missing everything during TC and the preseason....then I'll grab my pitchfork.

He's certainly capable of being an elite kicker....he's put up excellent numbers in the past....let's give him more than one OTA practice before roasting him.

If he doesn't work out....i'm sure Rex/Tanny will find a suitable replacement.

It's not a good sign when he cannot kcik w/ absolutely no pressure on him. We'll see what happens, I hope he can kick when we need him in a few months but I'm concerned especially since we have had very few years w/ a reliable kicker and 2 of those were the last 2. I hope we don't miss Feeley.

If Folk shits the bed....at least we know Rex has him on a short leash.....

I don't believe the loss of Feely will cripple the team.....serviceable kickers are always available.

EDIT: i see Rex was referring to Stitser.....i guess Folk isn't on a short leash.

That Kris Brown guy, and Rackers or some shit are both on the Texans right? I doubt both of them stay there, and one would be cut after training camp.

finding a replacement kicker is a lot different than finding a viable starting QB......I'm not worried about our kicking situation in the least.

Again, there haven't been many years where we have had reliable kickers. I hope this works itself out. We'll see.

Then why have we struggled for so many years to find them? leahy stunk then we had Staurovsky, Cary Blanchard, an old Nick Lowery, Hall was up and down, Doug Brien cost us a title game trip, Nugent was never reliable. reliable kickers are harder to find than you think. I'd rather have my QB situation settled than K but that doesn't mean it's not important to have the Kicking situation settled.

This... It looks like we are just not that good at evaluating talent in that position.

we struggled to find a lot of phases of the game over the years, junc....not just kickers.

We're entering a new era with Rex and Tannenbaum.....I'm sure the kicking situation is well under control and being monitored......
