All of those lots by IZod look like they're a hike just to get to the tunnel that will bring you over to the side of the highway where the stadium is.

only lot 26 and the lot 23(parking garage) should use the tunnel.lots 27,28 & 29 should use the over pass and enter thru the Met Life Great Hall or the Bud Light entrances.my seats are in the pepsi corner,so i plan to walk from either Lot 27 or Lot 29 using the overpass thru the great hall up the escalators to level 100. there the escalator to level 200 will be waiting .

if you walk to the Bud light Corner you will have to double back with the way the escalators are set up.

still a 30-35 minute walk....easy.the stadium will continue to be half full at kickoff.I GUARANTEE IT

    I can't speak for lots 27, 28 or 29..but I parked in Lot 26 for a bunch years.

No way it took the amount of time you are speaking of.. probably 10 minutes or so and you are thru the tunnel at the very foot of the new Stadium...I never "timed it" because it was never an issue.

And there was a shuttle bus over 120 if you didn't feel like walking...easy before the game...less easy afterwards.

Not sure if that will be utilized in 2010+.

And, for my own personal situation, very fast escape onto 120 North without the hassle of fighting Stadium traffic getting over the bypass.

These parking lots where used by late comers and people who went directly into the game.people arrived at all different times,no?

now picture 1230pm and everyone is leaving there tailgate at the same time.been there for hours drinking and eating.

and where were your seats? right near gate B? think of all the pepsi corner people who have to walk to the opposite side of the stadium from lots 28?????

I suppose there were late comers parked there like any of the outer Lots on the Stadium side..but I can tell you alot of people got there early and set up great tailgates..just like the Stadium side.

My time estimate was to the Stadium, not to my seat.
I sat in 331..so that was between gates C and D.

Personally, I never missed a kickoff in 25 years at that stadium..so I cannot account for the what happens when everyone..from both sides of Route 120..crashes the gates at the same time.

My overall point to you is that if you get to Lot 26 early enough to set up a good tailgate and are smart enough to budget your time and be aware ..you will be OK.

These are, by the way, the same rules that apply no matter which side of 120 you park on.

See, there is no reason for that to be the case.

Using a 1pm as an example... I don't understand why packing up the car by 12:15, 12:30 is such a big deal for people. Why do people have to wait until 12:50 to pack it up? A lot of people are there by 9, 9:30, so what is the big deal? I am there at 8am for those games and we start to pack up at Noon and head in and are in our seats by 12:20/25. Now yes, thats a tad early, I agree, but you have some of these morons who pack up at 12:55 and don't get to their seats until 10 minutes or less remaining in the 1st quarter.

Jets fans are the worst at this.

I've been to Cleveland, New England, and Indianapolis, and all of those stadiums were packed at kickoff, for the most part. Been to 6 games in NE and I can only think of one game (when it was hailing, raining & snowing) when the stadium wasn't packed at kickoff and it never was packed that day because of the weather. Even New England fans, whom we love to bash and pay $40 for parking so they like to use tailgate time as much as humany possible, get to their seats on time.

truthfully last year i tried to make it a point to make kickoff. and i had relocated my tailgate from the far end oppsoite side of the stadium to my gate closest to my seat and parked real close to the stadium.

and having royaltee at some of my tailgates did help with the time. shit actually i do need a clock manager. help the tailgater get to the game on time ha ha

17a is the only way to get into the izod parking lots from rt 120? I feel like everytime i went to a nets game from rt 3 i got circled around back to the football stadium and had to walk the tunnel back to the izod.

Im just trying to get an idea of the easiest way to get a decent tailgate spot when the games start. And god help someone if they try to stick me in that damn garage...

    route 3 west or east?
either way there is a road that forks right will bring you around the back of the parking garage and izod center to lots 28 first then 27 and 29 or eventually 26.if you stay left that puts you on 120 north and the entrance to the IZOD. the parking garage is to your right and Lot 26 is to your left.

i am not sure if you will be force straight into the parking garage or if you willbe able to turn left and go 100 feet then make another left into Lot 26. it doesnt seem like its that big of a deal but hey its the Jets.

let me find the street directions the jets sent....

17a - Thanks for scouting and posting these photos as well as offering comments. There's got to be a reason why lot B is not a PSL yellow lot and was designated for us abused and unappreciated upper tier ticket holders. Is it an annoyingly long walk? Do you need to walk to the far end and then up and over a pedestrian walkway to get around the station? Is there a risk of a hit-by-train death? Obnoxious train engine fumes? If not, this lot will fill-up faster than you can say "woody sucks".

I'm interested to learn more about the walking approach to the overpass near lot 27 or even lot 26. Is it a long way around to begin the trek, and is walking across discouraged by the Meadowlands staff?

    Thanks again.

you have to remember in The Land of The Lost, all the parking lots are surrounded by 7 foot high fences.you have to enter and exit thru the tolls.no free roaming from lot to lot with walking back out of the toll.
if you park in lots 27,28 or 29 the fastest way would be over this overpass.lot 26 entrance/exit toll is right near the cattle walk so you would use that. even if you park in lot 26 under the big sign on the grass near the overpass and route 120,you have to walk all the walk to the toll to get in and out of the lot.

I parked right in front of the Izod Center once I think 2 years ago and that was a small hike to the Stadium. I don't know if Lot 29 and Lot 27 are in the Izod Center but these pics, it looks like you're about a mile away from the Stadium. What lots are lots 29 and 27 going to be respectively in the new parking layout?
