So, they sent me a DVD with 2009 highlights and offered free parking this season if I purchase PSLs with no interest for a year (or two, I forget). I just laughed, no way they're getting a dime from me, we may only go to road games from now on.

They must be getting desperate, but I post this so those of you who already paid for parking can call and complain - ridiculous that they are taking care of new buyers while ignoring those who bought early.

Not at all ridiculous, as those of us who have been STHers for decades have come to realize. They've ignored and fucked over 90% of their long-time, loyal, Jets season ticketholders who've been with the organization since the very beginning. Why shouldn't they fuck over Johnnie-Come-Lately buyers who stepped in after the first round and bought early?

Totally consistent with who they are and what they've become. Throw in the parking lot fuck-over and you're in for the score.

    You're right, can't argue. That's why I opted out after 30 years.

You have to realize though that they don't have this team as a way to make you and me happy but they have it as a way to make money first. It's like a job...they're never going to give you more than they have to. If you complain, maybe they give a little, or maybe they have other people more than happy to replace you. It's a business first to them, and honestly, I can understand that. It sucks, but it's the way of the world at this point.

I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but here's an article starring someone that probably feels a lot like you do.

Can't people make an insane profit by reselling season tickets online, etc?

On the flip side, why should the Jets be loyal to a fan base that:

#1 - Shows up late to the game.
#2 - When they do show up, they show up drunk.
#3 - Spends most of the time getting up and either a: pissing or b: buying more beer.
#4 - Hangs out halftime at Gate D to watch tits being flashed.
#5 - Leaves early to hang out in the parking lot and drink beer or beat the traffic home.
#6 - Or if they don't go to the game, sells their tickets to scalpers and you end up with knuckleheads consistently in your section.

I know you know what I say to be true Sec 227 Row 5, because I sat in your section, the row directly behind you for 20 years. I have the ticket stubs to prove it as well and you know as well as I that 227 was inhabited by morons. To include the crippled idiot who sat a few rows behind us and kept screaming that "Obrien's mother is lesbian" and "Pick your nose Walton" or "Jesus Christ throw the ball" whether the Jets were playing good or bad.

The fact of the matter is that the Jets run a business and that business is about making money.

Do you honestly think the team doesn't realize that the boorish behavior of the fans has been a compelling problem for years?

Do you honestly think the team didn't price the seats so the morons are more segregated in the upper deck with no PSLs so they can attract a more family friendly crowd elsewhere?

    The bottomline is the bottomline.

If it wasn't for a couple of asshole politicians, the Jets would have had the WSS instead of timesharing with the Giants again. That isn't Woody's fault, that is the fault of scumbag politicians who used the 9/11 tragedy for their own political gain (i.e. we can't develop the WSS until downtown is developed).

More importantly, if the recession hadn't hit, the stadium naming rights would have generated a buyer at a premium (even more so on the WSS) and the luxury boxes would have been hopping off the market making it better for the responsible fan like you and I to get into a section at a more reasonable price.

Pretty much. I'm looking for Jets/Packers tickets, and the prices I've seen are off the wall.

That whole article is nonsense. This guy's whining about a draft party? He didn't pay a PSL. The other Jets fans did, and so did EVERY Giants fan there. So a guy puts down $10k on his seat, he damn well better get more than this guy complaining about his non-PSL seat. The article is also trying to make the Giants out to be the good guys in this situation. The Jets at least had enough decency to OFFER 300 level seats without a PSL. Can't say the same thing for those Giants.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this is in it for money. It's always about money and it will always be that way. People gotta give it a rest. You can complain all you want, but if someone's willing to pay the price (as the wealthier Giants fans are), then they're going to sell it at that price. They'll drop the price until it's sold but they're going to try to make every dollar they can. Do you really expect anything else??

Come on, FGF. Zeal? Really? Maybe the Giants were waiting until the Jets put their PSL news out before the Jets, to, say, not look like such bad guys? The Giants know they are competing on a much more level playing field than the Jets, in the same market, so they're playing the PR game.

The Giants were going to lay the PSLs on fans regardless of how much zeal the Jets showed.

I am over hating on the PSLs. I sat in 103 and it would cost me 433 this year for my PSL...after seeing the stadium and how insane my seats would be next year I can put 40 bucks a month away for my PSL and if we win a superbowl trust me I am making a profit on it...to own part of the stadium and to sell it off later on isn't a bad investment..well atleast more fun than my brokerage account.

I should point out that, no, I don't have season tickets. And I do disagree with the notion of PSL's. I think it's pretty ridiculous. Regardless, I just feel that entire article was BS. I think that guy felt he should be "entitled" to something that I don't think there should be entitlement to. Before PSLs, how many Jet fans wanted season tickets and couldn't purchase them just because guys like him had their tickets since his dad was around forever and they got passed on down through the family? Now that there's PSL's, people don't want to spend that kind of money, and people like him are complaining when he doesn't get the same treatment that someone that does pay a PSL gets. That's like saying, "why do those guys in the VIP seats get free food and soft chairs when I'm stuck in the cold?"

I just think sometimes people feel too entitled to something that they really did nothing to deserve in the first place. I wish I had the money to really afford a PSL and all that, but if I got seats without a PSL, I wouldn't expect to get the same treatment as someone who paid for one.

God I miss chanting "T-I-T-S Tits Tits Tits!!!"

Those were some great half time boobies. Even my wife was amazed at what went on (did not partake)

That is gone forever. Some rich lawyer who dropped 100K on PSLs going to a game with his wife and kids would sue the pants off Woody Johnson in the new stadium. .

I know. I remember coming in the week after the Pitt game and the fences were up in all the circle ramp thingys. My sister and I were at the game the week before the Pitt game - that's when things got REALLY hairy and the polizia went berzerk.

I missed that Steelers game cause my wife and kids were all sick. Had to stay home.

Funny I missed the Pitt game in the snowstorm too when Jets won 6-0 and Martin ran for 200+ yards...Was that '03?

I was 11 years old the first time I experienced that. I remember going into school the next day (4th grade) and telling my friends about how I saw live boobies for the first time at the Jet game. My dad and his buddy thought it was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing for the whole second half.
    Drunk bitches.:rofl::rofl:
