It's early, but my market research today amongst my fellow tailgaters suggests this trend:

Many of us tailgaters are a part of large groups. My group is about 16 to 18 strong and there are many groups larger than that. In a large group some of opted for PSL's to maintain their "Jets experience" while other senior members of the group, in many cases the founding fathers of the group had the seniority to take the upper deck, non-PSL option in these difficult economic times many of us find ourselves in. A large group completely comprised solely of PSL owners will be rare if not impossible to find - especially within the first few years. Forget about a group of club seats owners tailgating...

Now that we upper deckers can only be issued orange, restricted parking while the PSL people can park yellow or orange, it looks as though the yellow PSL seat purchasers will be following the orange, senior members of the tailgaters over to orange lots. At least in our case they will. I expect that to be the case in MANY instances you all find yourselves in.

Due to the Jets foolish ridiculous new pouting, childish parking plan, the furthest-away 'PSL' lots such as lot K, will be half empty, while the better orange lots - basically anything other than lot P (the "Pennsylvania" Lot) will fill up fast and furiously on game days - just as the upper deck seats did. In order to carry-on tailgating traditions amongst those we love with those who probably started their tailgate traditions to begin with - those with seniority, PSL "Yellows" will be parking in orange lots and doing so without hesitation, and in droves. Proving what we already know - the best Jets football experience is attending the games AND the tailgating; living and dying with this team in a non-country club atmosphere.

Lets start the rally cry now. Trade Lot B for Lot K. Trust me, it makes the most sense to prevent a parking nightmare. Forget about lot B that everyone's in love with. It'll be a battle to get in consistently, and if you have more than four people in your group, not everyone is getting in. the consequences are bad - late members trying to bring a cooler or grill over the cattle-way to join the party. No thank you.

JETS: MAKE LOT K ORANGE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. SWITCH IT WITH B AND JUST SEND ANOTHER EMBARRASSING EMAIL OUT LIKE YOU DID WITH THE DRAFT PARTY MISTAKE.

My ticket partner called and complained today. He really didn't get anything in return but some empty promises. Prices going up, not getting anything for it.

I raised hell on the phone. I'm a teacher and the entire faculty room went silent and jaws dropped. No one had ever seen me go off like that.

They give you lip service. They're sales reps, so they want to get you off the phone as soon as possible so they can continue making their cockamamie calls.

I can see they probably had a bunch of those kinds of calls in the last few days. I doubt they will change anything but it's worth a shot.

Aside from the shitiness of doing this, to not only a third of your clients, but to many of those who've paid THOUSANDS to the organization over the years, this plan is very flawed and need to be redesigned.

Since Yellows can park in Orange lots (and will to maintain their tailgate groups) there are far too few orange areas. Lot K must be turned orange, and the most sense is to trade it with lot B making lot B Yellow.

It is foolish if they don't do this. It's not like Lot K is close anyway.

Hey 17A, were you out in Indy? For AFC championship. I met so many great Jets fans I can't remember. I'm a party of 3-4 (my son and dad split a ticket) and we are upper bowl so we're #ucked as far as tailgating(Lot B). We are even looking at training it to game but what to do about tailgating. Let's keep in touch here and see where the new tailgating develops. JS

Hey Sec337, As am I in the faculty room flipping out too LOL,

Hey JetsSec337, As am I, I've been in a few shouting matches myself the last few years and in my case my faculty room thought it hilarious that a usual mild mannered individual would get steamed. This parking lot fiasco is bull$hit but truth be told besides my dad's ability to take train, the train is not that bad an option. I'm looking at all my options before I have to give the Jets 1 extra cent.:beer:
