My heart is with you and some $$$. Without picking sides, it is pretty clear that there is something wrong with healthcare in this country if someone can have insurance and still be on the hook for $65k.

Novalie just got the news from the doctors that she has to go to Mt. Sinai hospital and await her new heart. Her heart has reached it's limit There is good news though, that we have reached our goal of raising $65k. Thanks to all who donated. You made this very trying time for her mom and dad easier.
thats bittersweet news Tony! congrats on raising the money. keep her spirits up, when everyone is laughing and smiling all the time, there is a lot less stress on the heart. Keep us updated on when she gets her new heart and how things go! Best of luck to Novalie
Great post, nyjetsrule. God bless Novalie. As trite as it may seem, I always check this thread when visiting TGG, hoping for good news. She is certainly in my thoughts.
I just made a donation. I know you have reached your goal, but wanted to give something back. I may be a fan of a rival team, but I think I speak for all of us when I say that I am a fan of our youth. That little girl is just as tough as any of our favorite football players, and that is what gets me. God bless her, and I pray for a speedy recovery!
Again, thanks for your support guys. Wanted to give you all an update. They had found a heart for her, but when it arrived an Mt. Sinai, they found a defect, so the transplant was canx'd. She's still there awaiting another heart. She's in good spirits I'm told.
Today is the day! At 7 this AM, Novalie went under for her heart transplant. I'll update agiain when it's over. Thank you all so much for your help.
