You know, I can accept a player being in a slump, but it's amazing how awful Bay has looked with his swings this year.

Without seeing much of this game, admittedly, loading the bases in the 1st and not scoring anything set the table for the rest of this game. This team has no balls.
If they had like just 5 extra hits in the right spots, they have at least 21 or 22 wins right now. At least they have a winning record, I guess, tonight was a microcosm of their season so far.

Holy shit....just saw the play where Wright got doubled off 1st. What the fuck was he doing there??? Wow, both of his hits were with nobody on. What a fucking shocker.

Holy shit...I hope GMJR got the shit booed out of him when he struck out there.

Cattalnotto has been DFA'd and Carter has been recalled per Jerry's postgame.

This season is just different, I feel like it's a hassle to watch this team play. I'm watching TV around 7 like I do everyday and I'm like Fuck, I have to put on the Mets. I'd rather be watching The Office re-runs.

But I can't not watch the game if they're playing.

Wow my grammar was shit there, I guess that's what I get for being a smart ass at 1 am or so after just getting in from work.

So, You're telling me that their going to wind up under .500 (despite the fact that they are still 2 games over, in spite of the fact that they lost 2 in a row), with Beltran eventually rejoining the lineup?

It's almost like you want them to lose, pretty sad, really.

I'm a Mets fan, and I'll be here win or lose, but take out the previous home stand and they're 8-14. They played 3 teams that have mostly scuffled during that home stand. They get absolutely no clutch hitting, their moron manager overtaxes the same guys in bullpen every night and doesn't know how to use his bench. And their starting rotation is average (they've overachieved IMO, except for Perez). Not exactly the formula for success.
    I hope I'm wrong, though.
There's also no guarantee that Beltran a) comes back and plays the way he has in the past b) comes back, period.

I really don't think Beltran will come back this year.

no, it is just that the team since the winning streak has been pretty similar to the team before the winning streak, thus it is pretty clear which was probably the anomaly.

5-1 Nationals, as Pudge chases Niese with an RBI single.

This is pretty much the only team in the majors that can consistently get two guys on base and not score. It would hilarious/sad if it wasn't so damn predictable.

Barajas with a two RBI double.

    6-5 Nationals now.

Mets knocking around Bruney and Clippard.

Pagan just tied it with an RBI single.

Carter is pinch hitting with 1st and 2nd and 1 out.
