... the phone calls and e-mails have begun again.

Now I'm being offered FREE PARKING for the first year, and no PSL payments until Jan 1st. Frankly, I'm thinking... I could buy tickets for this season, get free parking and then decide not to keep them.

    anybody else getting crazy offers?

If they are offering you that now then just continue to hold out man. Make them give you 5 years free parking and not have to guarantee that you'll buy tickets for 5 years.

Never understood that type of reasoning.
If you are getting what you think is a good deal, take it.

I don't think it's a good deal until PSL is off the table. Frankly, if they said here are your old seats, this is the new price, this is the parking price, and the PSLs we're waiving, then THAT would be a fair deal.

But I like the 5 year deal.

with my sport illustrated subscription (which I don't have anymore), they kept lowering the price the more I didn't respond until they finally gave an ultimatum.

This is the same thing. Let them get more desperate. The idea is to continue to sound interested but hold off. They'll keep lowering the price.

I'd get season tickets if it meant free parking for 5-10 years.

We need to resign Revis, Mangold, Brick, Harris. Take the deal. If we loose them it is your fault!

If you get a PSL location it's a binding contract-

You will still owe at least what is written in the contract-

I didn't get it, I already got my tix, I wanted a good seat.

I had season tickets that I gave up after the '06 season and they still call me once a week.
All those years on the wait list prior to my getting in '95...not a single call ever.

The PSLs are not worth it. A friend of mine wanted to split 2 seats, with a PSL of $7500 and a per game price of $125 per seat. It's definitely not worth it. They felt they can sell some games & recoup some of that cost. The way I figure it, I can pay $100 over face value for tickets & it would take 9.5 years to break even (and that doesn't include interest & other opportunity cost of that initial investment). Assuming I don't want to attend every game over the next 10 years, that break even point is much further out. If we ever have a couple of horrific seasons like we did under Kotite, good luck recouping any of the investment towards the end of those seasons.

The PSLs are a crock. I would have rather seen them double the price of the tickets than pull this lame stunt. If they needed money upfront, require 2 or 3 seasons be purchased all at once.

Yeah, I get that, but when I feel a fair deal is worth it, I go for it.

in most cases i would tend to agree with you but not on getting a PSL seat. everyone who buys one of those tickets is still getting fucked in the ass by the jets so they might as well get as much lube as they can.

I've never had the chance to get a PSL. Neither has any of my friends or people I know. But I just don't get the idea of it. We pay for the license to keep the seats, but we then pay for the tickets too. Why not just buy the tickets and not pay for PSLs? Are there any benefits for getting the PSLs for so much money? Or do I have this idea totally misunderstood?

they make you buy the psl for the right to buy the tickets. the thinking is that the seats are so valuable that it is worth it to pay keep your seat. so far that plan is working a lot worse than i thought it would.

Reading your post, Im getting the idea that there are no seats without PSL. So if people don't buy PSLs and the team is stuck with, lets say, 30,000 empty seats, does the team not sell the remaining tickets?

I've watched several basketball games and a couple of football games. If what you said is true, somebody had paid the PSL for the seats/tickets I bought?

If they sell all the PSLs, that's half a BILLION dollars of new revenue.

My dad got a PSL for the new stadium. I've gone with him to the games my entire life. But I even got my first e-mail about Jets tickets the other day, asking me what they could do to sell tickets.

So, yes, they are panicking. Season ticket holders will be pissssed if all these tickets are available for a fraction of the price for every game. It's just an awkward situation from all sides...

By the way, please use the Jets Experience board for all PSL and new stadium discussion.

I think ur math is a tad off. There are only 65,000 PSLs to be sold since the UD is PSL free & if you say the average of all the PSLs available is 5Gs that would only equal 1/3 of a billion dollars not 1/2 a billion dollars of new revenue

So everyone wants a great team with the likes of Revis and Mangold, but most people want to continue to haggle and get bargain basement prices.
Sorry fellas, seems to me you can't have it both ways.
