what is with this forums posters and their propensity to bump 3+ year old threads? WAIT SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET WAS WRONG? HOLY SHIT! this bump is bad and you should feel bad
I don't really fault anyone in this thread for poking at the Revis pick. I do give insane props to BakerMaker, however, for identifying the BPA before the 2006 season was even over.
+24. I mean, I wanted Revis leading up to the draft, thought Aaron Ross was more likely, and was thrilled when we got him. The best part? Talking to a Raiders fan friend of mine who said Russell was a surefire hall of famer and that we didn't stand a chance at Revis. As far as calling Revis in DECEMBER? No freaking way. BakerMaker has my ultimate and lifelong respect.
In JV's defense, I didn't see too many people predicting that Revis was going to be the greatest cornerback in the history of the universe prior to the 2007 draft. BakerMaker gets huge props, though.
You hit some, you miss some.. Really funny looking back on it. I like when people bump threads like this one. I hate when people bump threads with zero purpose. I love looking back at things like this. JV's logic wasn't incorrect, though Hank Poteat and dominating never belong in the same sentence.
BakerMaker is a god amongst men in this thread. Just goes to show you how the draft and post-draft grades don't mean shit til the players hit the field for a couple of years.
