Just regression to the norm, he's not that good, and he won't be this bad going forward. And Cora has no business playing baseball professionally.

No one is ever going to sustain a sub 1 ERA as a starter.

However I think pelfrey has the ability to maintain a high 2, low 3 ERA.

If he finishes the season with that kind of an ERA, he'd either have to be ridiculously lucky or get unbelievably better. He's probably around 3.75-4.50 ERA pitcher, allowing for improvement. His fielding independent statistics so far this season give him an expected ERA of 4.28 this season, before today's game. Given his lower-than-average career HR-allowed rate, he might do better than that projection, but he hasn't shown that he's an ace at this point.

I dont expect him to have that type of ERA THIS YEAR, but I think he can develop into that guy. He certainly has the skill set, and he's obviously not quite there yet.

    You are fucking ridiculous bro.

They just tied the best homestand in Mets HISTORY (Not even the 06, World Series destined mets did this), and then walked into CBP, kicked Philly's ass, and then took an ass kicking the next game, and they are not actually good? Get Real. This team isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.

Right, I can agree with that.

Of course I still have hope that Ollie will figure himself out and be a productive major leaguer, that Maine will regain that dominant fastball and be a solid 2 or 3 starter.

    +1
And this is with Reyes being pretty terrible, Beltran hurt, Frank Catalanotto still on the team instead of Chris Carter, and GMJ still on the roster. If they get their lineup moderately healthy and Reyes becomes the Reyes of old, I can't see them being under .500, and I don't see Philly dominating the East. The Mets have a legit shot at being able to contend into at least late summer.

If we take 2 out of 3 tomorrow, which we should against moyer (although moyer does seem to be omnipotent in his old age), ill be feeling fine heading to cinci.

I see you fit in the delusional... so, no sence going any further... I'll holla back when your 19 games out in July... or I'll eat crow(HIGHLY Doubtful)...

And P.S. Mets history is kinda easy to beat, being that most of it is BAD BASEBALL

You realize 9-1 is the best homestand of 7 games or more in Met history right?

    Did you miss that part?

Only two other Met clubs have ever done that.

Also, I'm not saying this club is going anywhere due to one homestand, but their not gonna be last in the league because of one fucking loss.

I expect them to make a run for the playoffs at least. They've proven they have the capability to beat the phils, they just have to be consistent with it now.

Remember, Great teams lose 62 games a year.

Wright with a 3-run jack! 3-0 Mets in the top of the 1st.

Does even having GMJ on a major league roster make sense? Everything Anaheim paid to relieve themselves of his garbagé x 10 is still a good deal for Anaheim.

Wright makes it look easy with a 3 run shot.

matthews leading off makes no sense.

Anaheim was happy to eat most of the contract to actually get something for him.

Looking good for Johan with Wright's homer and now a double for Tatis.
