It was close but Cano managed to finish the month at .400. Only Yankee to ever do it and hit 8 HRs too.
Vazquez's fifth start of the year, and still no fastball. He's averaging 89mph on his heater. There are problems. Sigh.
He doesn't. He was great for half a season in 2004, got hurt and sucked the second half of that season, and now it's six years later and something's happened to his fastball. So there's no one reason.
Well, no one reason. There are many possible reasons. The first time in NY, he was hurt. This time, it's either mechanical, or he's hurt again. Because Vazquez's fastball is not supposed to be coming in at 88-89 mph. He should be throwing 92-94. Or it could be mental... but I don't think that's much of it when his fastball is coming in 4mph slower than it should be.
Resiliant Yanks. Way to come back!! Hopefully the pen can get it done... Mitre with more quality innings.
Stupid call with the IBB. Why would you put the go-ahead run on base with two outs? I don't care if it was a 2-0 count. Stupid stupid stupid.
I'm guessing more than that. If it's a Grade 2 pull like they're reporting, he's probably done for 4-6 weeks.
Another banner year for Cashman Vazquez sucks - check Johnson sucks - check Granderson sucks - check Park sucks - check Winn sucks - check Can't wait to sit back and hear why they don't or why Cashman is the best GM in baseball.
