The troubled but talented Holmes was traded by the Steelers to the Jets on April 11.
Wait, the plane was landing? Doesn't that kind of take away from the fact that he was "escorted off the plane".
Yeah, if you "violate" any plane regulation they "escort" you off the plane to intimdate you and then do one of several things which may include, writing a report, bag search, and/or strip search, and arrest you.

someone mentioned on another forum that this was just an example of the media blowing a situation way out of proportion. if this were to happen during the season, doubt it'd make any news... not escorted off the plane, they landed and he was told by officers that he shouldn't have his ipod on... which he shouldn't have. next story by the media is santonio cited for driving 5 miles over the speed limit...

Come on man. There is at least one person every day on my train car whose music is so loud I can clearly hear the words. It was dumb, but it's something anyone could have done. Now if the story had turned out to be that he grabbed one of the stewardess' asses, or that he spit on a fellow passenger I'd say "Okay, this fool doesn't learn." But not turning off his iPod? Come on.
What an ass. All you have to do is shut your ipod off for 10 minutes till you get to the correct altitude. An ipod or any electronic can fuck up the pilots equipment and you can crash. Just shut your fucking mouth, turn off your music for 10 minutes and put in back on for the rest of the flight. Honestly, I don't understand these guys. Bunch of babies with no sense.
