I'm saying he's a disappointment because of this. When Reggie was taken, many were expecting him to take on a Marshall Faulk-type role, where he could possibly rush and receive for 1,000yds in each category. He was so hyped coming out of college, but hasn't come anywhere near the same kind of production. And I'm not calling him a bust, I'm calling him a disappointment and suggesting he was drafted too high at 2nd overall for the (lack of) workload he takes on, decoy or not. I'm also saying that to say stats tell the whole story is unbelievably ignorant. I've heard many on this board, you included (I believe), state that LT's yardage over the past couple seasons have been significantly affected by San Diego's shift towards a more pass-happy offense, combined with a s*** O-line. So, then, how can we continue this debate on the grounds that other factors in a team game don't contribute to a single player's statistics? Reggie has had a much better opportunity to put up numbers than Leon. If they had started their careers on opposite teams, I believe Leon would have equally good numbers as Reggie, if not better. That's IMO. I've never once stated Reggie is a terrible player. But he's over-hyped, and has yet to live up the expectations of him that existed at the time he was drafted. Can the mainstays please tell TW that they like him, appreciate his support, and hand him his brownie points?
