-6'5" 316lbs -Started playing football in middle school so he could beat up the football players who made fun of his stutter. -Recruited to play at Nebraska by Callahan -Callahan lobbied for the Jets to draft him -Subbed in for Mangold for 2 plays after Mangold got punched in the dick against Tampa. Drove back his blocking assignment at least 5-7 yards. That's all I got.
I don't know how Slauson has developed over the past season, I know coming out of College he was considered a road grader who needed to work better with his hands in pass protection. Slauson has attitude. Vlad has the same rep at the moment, though Vlad is more athletic and mobile than Slauson, but he has ALOT less football experience than Slauson. I don't know who will win the competition this year, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see both Slausen and Vlad starting at G and T in 2011. I mean imagine a line with Vlad the Impaler and Uncle Fester..... Slightly better picture of Fester, Slauson Following this years jets camp invitee Lucky after Slauson losts his helmet during the play, the guy has a hardcore attitude.
FYP............ How can anyone honestly answer this poll in April? We, Jets fans, have seen a whopping grand total of 2 plays in the regular season out of Slauson. Ducasse is coming in from college. This thread is what it would be like if I happened to spend the night with Marissa Miller, premature ejaculation city. (Sorry about the TMI). Therefore, I like beer!
They both have such sick names its a tough choice. I saw toss out Moore and throw them both in. D'Brick, Vlad, MANGOLD, Slauson, and Woody. That's a dope sounding line.
Vladdy will probably win it, I never was very high on slauson. Since when dd he leave such a good impression on anyone ? Let the rook start and learn, We have arguably the best O-Line in the NFL to guide him through.
