Adrian Clayborne, Awesome!!! No really, it's a little too early for this thread too. Side note: Taylor Swift sucks
C'mon Bloke. Of course it's early, but the editors at SI and ESPN know there's an audience for this information. Plus the ESPN Mock is for insiders only! I got TGG covered.
No thanks, I'm drafted out. How accurate are these early mocks anyway? SOmebody find an old early mock like this one and compare it to the 2010 draft
Fuck yeah!!! I'll take Clayborn all day. Clayborn, Heyward, Bowers, Ayers, or McDaniel. Those are the 5 players I hope we target for next season. Any one of them will be phenomenal in Rex's system.
The mocks made a day before the draft weren't accurate! They are just nice so that you know the names that are out there...
I'm really trying not to get myself wrapped up in mocks this early, the first round talents will present themselves during the college football season, and the order will become more clear after week 10
By the time the season is over the Pats will probably be closer to 4 first round and 28 second rounds so this mock is moot.
That's not the point. The reason for these early mocks/rankings is to give people an idea of who to watch for next season. Early starting to this process means a better chance at discussion a year from now.
I guess Crick would move to DE in the Jet's line. Crick played DE at Nebraska and than moved inside next to Suh. Crick has good height and can take on OTs. I like Clayborn's potential better than Crick. Jets would have take a huge fall to draft Heyward, who I expect to be a top ten pick.
I think Heyward will be a top 5 pick next year, yes, I'm biased, but the kid is really good. He is pretty versatile for the Buckeyes, and I think he would be a very good fit at 3-4 DE. I don't think there will be much chance the Jets could land this kid though, to bad. :/
He's a great kid, great pedigree, and is the hardest working Buckeye on the team, the anti-Gholston. Not being a homer...Watch out this year..the Buckeyes will challenge for a national championship...they're loaded.
Or, with all but one of our picks still in hand next season, Tannenbaum could return to his old early draft-day trading ways. I don't think it's impossible for us to score another first if we can tag and trade a departing FA coming off a good season. Not every GM is a genius.
