Eric, Florida 1:18 PM ET Why would the jets send off Thomas Jones and Leon Washington and replace them with a potentially over the hill LaDanian Tomlinson? Do they have that much faith in Shaun Green? Jason La Canfora, NFL Network The more the Jets do the more I believe they will take a step back next season. The Faneca and Jones and Washington decisions, in particular, could really backfire. They did some nice things in the draft, but have raised some eyebrows with moves as well. They like Green and the young RBs in this past draft, but I'm not sure LT has much left and Faneca is gonna be more difficult to replace than some might think as well.
Oh nozzzz! They gots rids of Thomas Jones!!! How fucking retarded are these people? Ladanian Tomlinson is not replacing Thomas Jones. Shonn Greene is replacing Thomas Jones. Ladanian Tomlinson is replacing Shonn Greene.
Is this the clown that NFL network cut to during the first round, right before the commissioner announced the pick, he would get on and say "They're taking Suh." etc?
Really killed the thrill of having the commissioner make the call. Would rather that they cut out the segment next year, irrespective of who is providing the "inside info."
There's a reason why Jason LaCanfora doesn't provide analysis during the draft. His only value is in his contacts.
Maybe he did get the name right. Shonn's mother didn't. Kind of glad I no longer need to write Laveranues anymore.
Mark Sanchez, Jersey 2:56 PM ET Did I lose a great run blocker in Faneca, or gain a much better pass blocker in whoever takes his place? Steve Wyche, NFL.com Sanchise, You lost a good player but the Jets aren't breaking up that line unless they think they've got someone better -- especially someone who is going to keep the running game working and keeping you upright.
Yea. That whole thing seems to be a battle over credibility between NFLN and ESPN. In actuality, it's just freakin annoying. I'm surprised by how many analysts are calling the Jets' Offseason moves "questionable." So Cromartie has some character issues and Holmes has some weed issues -- both players are young and vastly talented. I always thought the games were won on Sundays? We now have better players playing on Sundays than we did last year. And releasing Faneca is getting so blown out of proportion that it's become ludicrous. How come everyone that questions this move never mentions that he allowed 14 Sacks in the past two seasons? That's kind of an important stat.
