that entire draft was a disaster.... traded back for Doug fucking Jolley then took Nugent and Miller in the second. Rhodes was the only bright spot from that draft, and he decided to go hollywood on us last year, the 2005 draft has 0 players left 5 years later, the definition of bad drafting there.
Pouha was a decent pick, but he took awhile to develop. But I agree, absolutely awful draft. Pouha is the only player still with us, and he just started to contribute.
Nugent wasn't bad until he got hurt though - but DEFINITELY not worth a 2nd round pick (no kicker is)
1. Could have had Heath Miller at TE. FML 2. Pouha was part of that draft and was indispensable last season.
really? I thought Pouha was part of the 04 draft class? well either way, it was a terrible draft overall. Pouha was indespensible last season after Jenks went down, but much like Eric Smith, we deemed him worthless and desrving of being tossed a couple off seasons ago. God rex gets more out of his guys than anybody else doesnt he?
I mean forget Heath Miller, we could have had Louis Castillo, or Logan Mankins, or Vincent Jackson. Our priorities were so out of whack, although looking back, that was a pretty thin draft with a lot of misjudged talent. I guess the Bengals didn't think watching Shayne Graham miss was bad enough. Good lord. -X-
