Expect Warren to have a segment on Hard Knocks the same way Danny Amendola did with the Cowboys.

There is another reason he went undrafted, because this was an absurdly deep talented draft class. Myron Rolle went in the compensatory picks at the end of the 6th round, Blount and Freddie Barnes both went undrafted. This draft class was just nuts, and whatever teams dig through the UDFA this year will likely strike gold.

Hey Snatch, where did you hear Warren had a bad year? I just saw this on the front page of this forum:

"In his senior year Warren started in all 12 games, recording 66 tackles, 4 INTs, 11 pass defenses."

That sounds pretty good to me.

He only ran a 4.6 at the combine, did 12 bench presses, and isn't big enough to play safety. Definitely a "tweener" that deserves to at least be given a chance.

Did you even read this thread? He ran on an injured ankle. And have you seen this guy open tackle? He's really good.

I'm not a big fan of the "right size" as much as I am about whether a guy can play football.

Maybe that's part of the reason they don't mind trading up. If you're good at finding UDFA it's almost like having unlimited 7th round picks.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I should have said that I've read in multiple places that the Wolverines didn't play up to his skillset, and that was one reason he underperformed expectations.

^ perhaps, if he makes the team and sees time on the field, he takes on the 3rd safety role?

Going off of stats for a cornerback is completely useless. He could have 200 tackles and 15 interceptions and still have a terrible year if he constantly gets burned by the receiver hes covering.

I have no idea how good or bad this guys year was, but the stats wont help you figure it out.

And Warren never played in his senior year, he declared for the draft @ the end of his junior season. (yeah the guys only 21, thats fricken young, if he pans out he could be terrorizing the Pats for 15 years)

He'll be what I wanted Lowery to be... a CB/S in nickel and dime packages... good thing because last year we got torched many times down the middle.

He'll be what I want every cornerback on the Jets to be: not Drew Coleman.

I don't know if this has been posted already, but on twitter he was asked 19 hours ago what position he was being brought in to play and he replied "FS".

What's your opinion, Mr. E? Does Warren's skill set translate well to the Free Safety position?
