Kinda sounds like he's this year's version of J'Nathan Bullock.

    Boom:
    Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan
    Charlie Tanner, OG, Texas
    Kevin Basped, DE, Nevada
    Jeff Cumberland, TE, Illinois

Folks love Warren who some say projects to be a safety. I think especially in our scheme - safety make more sense seeing as he's better @ zone then man.

Jets could use Nate Collins, the big DT out of UVA. He's not the most talented guy out there and he is a bit undersized, but he has a good motor and would add some needed depth to the DL. He was one of the bright spots on an otherwise dogshit college team last year.

Hmmm... so everyone said Benn could have gone higher if a better quarterback had been throwing him the ball his whole career. Does the same apply to Cumberland?

BTW, (to the concerned parties) keep in mind that the best thing about Universal Draft's videos is that they intentionally display the atrocious plays a prospect makes. That's why they're so valuable to novice armchair scouts like myself.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm hardwired for highlight videos, so when I see a string of shitty plays like those in Cumberland's video, it throws off my appreciation of a player.

    Food for thought.

I saw on another web site that DT Mick Williams from Pittsburgh tweeted that he has been signed by the Jets. Only 269 lbs probably will be moved to DE

    ^ It's true.

This could actually turn out to be a very good signing. He's a big bodied, high motor player, a lot like Mike DeVito.

He had 17 TFLs in 2009 - that's ridiculous production for a tackle.

This may be an unanswerable question, but...

Are the odds favorable that these specific guys make this season's 53-man-roster? We could definitely use several of them.

I think Mick Williams and Kevin Basped have a great shot to make this team - we are thin at both positions.

Donovan Warren is basically a lock to make this team, unless he gets arrested or hurt. Mark Carrier, one of our defensive coaches, is his godfather.

Odd's are usually slim, but they increase if you go to a team like the Jets that only had 4 draft picks this season and 3 last season. A team like the Patriots who had 12 picks the odds are substantially worst unless they have a gaping hole in their roster.

    Agree with these two.

Would Warren definitely be an upgrade over Coleman, and therefore, would it be wise to cut Coleman to provide a roster-spot for Warren?

I have a feeling Warren will be given a chance to take Drew Coleman's job. It shouldn't be too hard either.
