We needed to find someone fill in Trichs spot next year. We have done that. Leon was an expendible question mark. Sure, he COULD come back and perform at the same level, but what if he couldn't? What if he lost a few steps? What if he was timid to take a hit after such an injury?

Trading Leon was the best move we could have made. Now we have a FB of the future to learn from the best in the game. We have 1 less guy to worry about come contract time. We have one less headache of an agent to listen to.


Good trade, glad we did it.

 

im just bitter about the whole thing. cant believe we lost both of them in the span of an hour

 

overall, we addressed the future. even if mcknight doesnt contribute this year, he'll get to learn from one of the greatest rb in the game in LT. the terminator gets to learn from one of the best fb of the game and i trust our offensive line coach to develop ducasse accordingly

 

I almost wish that Clowney was included in the Leon trade. Him going to Seattle would have led to some hilarious tweets. And he thought it rained here for "know reason.":rofl:

Joe McKnight made Leon Washington worthless to this team.

Alan Faneca is one of the most overrated players in this league. He was piss poor in pass protection last season. It was time to move on. According to Tannenbaum, Slauson and Ducasse will compete for the left guard spot.

We acquired our fullback of the future, who also happens to be one of the best special team tacklers in this draft class.

All of the moves we made today put this team in the position for a great future.

We passed less than any other team in the league and yet somehow Faneca managed to give up more sacks than any other guard. He is a weak link.
