It wasn't a knee injury. He broke both bones in his leg. I know some people are angry (I have Leon's jersey) but I saw this coming. Leon was an outstanding player for us because of his ability to change directions and his speed. After this devastating injury, I believe, he will not be the same player. Remember we are a running team, so the fullback will be an important position for us. Tony Richardson is in his 15th year; he has to be replaced! This is why we picked the fullback out of Kentucky. The Jets are trying to get younger and more explosive.

TJ was another good player for us. However, as he shared carries with Greene I noticed he was very slow hitting the hole. Again, because of our outstanding line he got away with that specifically in the fourth quarter. The only issue I have is why LT to replace him. Maybe the Jets feel LT still has the quickness to the hole, we will see.

I would never have done this if I were in charge, but it's done. HOWEVER: you got to wonder how a guy who couldn't handle being Reggie Bush's heir feels about being Leon Washington's heir. Pool, Xerxes, Faneca and Leon: we're taking some real, significant chances here.
